A pre-emptive attack

'Season 2, wave 1' cards will from now on be called 'wave 5'

The additional two words, which include a pause, tot up to an extra three syllables which seems like a complete waste of everybody's time.

On the forums at least, when Season 2 comes out, it might make sense to start referring to the waves as s1w3, s1w4, s2w1, etc etc. How you'd pronounce that is another matter though!

Surely that's an argument to use 'wave 5'. Everyone knows how to pronounce that.

Thats's true, I'm thinking though that if MC do call the cards "Season 2 Wave 1", then us calling them "wave 5" will end up being more confusing?

I suspect in the end though we will end up calling them whatever the majority of forum posters call them...

Nice thought though Smile

If s=Mind Candy season, w=mind candy wave of card, Rw=Real wave

Rw=4(s-1)+w

I hope this clears it up. Laughing

All this algebra nonsense is too confusing. I propose we call it Brian.

*tongue firmly in cheek* How about this formula?

(UFw is what we call the waves on UnFiction and MCw is Mind Candy's eqivalent on the cards)

MCw = UFw

I say incrementing waves actually makes sense-that's a first for Chris.

Whilst it'll be difficult for noobs, this system could turn out to be very simple, you cant complete a season without all the waves, so this way we'll be counting each wave as a mini season.

Gotta, catch 'em all!

Isn't removing the seasonality like saying that summer, autumn and winter will be springs two, three and four respecitively?

Or, and this is truly horrifying, a week now consists entirely of Mondays?

We should also remove higher orders from food in supermarkets so rather than baked beans we would have food 1 (obviously they should occupy this slot) and broccoli food 5379927. This would have the added advantage of revealing substances sol in supermarkets that aren't food such as sild, pek and haribo which will now be reclassified as manky fish 1, puke 1 and constipatory addictive gelatine mass 2.

Yes, you muppet. Why else would this be a topic of such heated debate? Honestly, kids today... Rolling Eyes

Could you describe the difference it will make? What are you all of a year older than me? Muppet indeed....

I don't really see any heated debate just inconsequential argument. Whether you call it "Wave 5" or "Season 2 Wave 1" there are still going to be folks who call it the other. It's not going to make a difference. It's just going to introduce ambiguity. Super woot for that, eh?

Department of redundancy department.
