Odd that Von would use a bi-plane design as the drag to lift ratio would be such that it would be an inefficient glider. (Hence no-one making gliders with bi-plane configurations on earth...)

BTW he posted this in response to one of the early commenter's questions about where to send the answer:

Nah, there's no need to send me the answers. Just keep track of them day by day, and they'll come in handy for the San Francisco event.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
So we have D_ATHY? (The answer to the second one not occurring to me at the moment.) Or is day 2 another Y?
edit after hint below

So we have D_ATHQ?
I don't know....you might want to check the riddle for today.
This site might be able to help you out.
But then again, I could be wrong. We will have to wait until we get closer to the live event. And if you need help with day 2 I might be able to think of something to help you out.

Could it be an anagram to stop us from using the clue without having all the answers?

I'm sure that's it.

Or possibly a ROT, or an encryption or an Acronym.
Patience Padawans-the answer comes when it is time.

Grrrr - 8-8-06
All my friends are out having fun and I'm stuck in this lousy office. It's not that I don't like my office (cityscape views, as much stationery as I can consume) but I'd rather have the option to get out sometimes. All the puzzle scribes are having to put in as much time as possible over the next four days to get the final details of the San Francisco event sorted out - it's particularly hard because of Anna.
My friends Seela and Mac were trying particularly hard to tempt me out today. They're both big fans of the "Earth-based" pervasive game Monopolist and there are going to be big developments in it this week. Once you've subscribed to this game with your key, you get an information feed directly to a pair of glasses or heads-up display contact lenses. They imprint a "virtual Earth" onto the city and other players appear as their characters. It's not the most factually accurate game in the world. For example, the big method of solving disputes in the game is by duel, wielding your key as a rapier, but the economic model of society is early 20th century industrial. Plus, it's just plain weird that players can pick their costume from any time in Earth history. Cavemen should not be allying with people dressed in Papal robes to overthrow business-suited executives.
Still, it's a cool game. This week, Seela's character Dr Sometimes and Mac's character, Arithmancy are expecting to form an alliance with two Barons of Maine to take over a bunch of sugar factories. There are likely to be boiling-sugar wars - I'm sorry to miss it.
For today's puzzle, a little more trivia:
What is the postal code of the postage stamp province?
As for the question.....no idea. Anyone get any?

...that is...IF I am right.

Since the answer to the riddle on Day 2 was
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Why
shouldn't then the letter be
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'W'
???

Yeah, and it doesn't look like much in rot-it , either.
Ok, here's some random spec: It is a code fFor Rachel blake's 'hanso exposed' site. But it probably isn't, no.

No, because the answer wasn't
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the word "why,"
but rather
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the letter Y.
The clue I use to justify that being "I end with myself, but begin two letters earlier," or whatever it was.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Understandable confusion, but I choose to interpret it as the phonetic spelling of the name of the letter, rather than as the word introducing a question of causation. Otherwise, how could a word end with itself but not start with itself?

I disagree.. the answer to the puzzle was "Why" Y is not a question (nor is 'why' (being the phonetic spelling of Y, not the word) "Why?" however, is. not that it matters in the least bit, as we got what we're looking for...
