Reports from the Pre-Event

Well, we just wrapped up the pre-event at Endgame and it was a good time by all. I actually got there a little early and found Cassandra already there. It was pretty slow, with people slowly trickling in (Soulsproximity, then TheDragonArmy and Drinksmonster) until around 5:00 when a fair number of people showed up. By the time we left for dinner at 7:30, we had a full group of 13 people actively chatting, trading, and solving cards. We worked on a good number of blacks and silvers and helped people get solves on a large number of cards.

At 7:30, we rolled across the street to the Pacific Coast Brewing Company for dinner, where we were joined by Ashin, Perplexhero (+ wife and friends), and Crovax1234. Great dinner and very enjoyable conversation by all. As a very pleasant ending to the night, Crovax1234 was sharing the results of his new box of cards (a nice stack of blacks and silvers), relating that the only card he needed was Relativity, at which BrianEnigna pulls out a Relativity and says, "like this one?". Without blinking an eye, Crovax offers the entire stack of blacks and silvers in exchange. Rapid eyeblinking follows and the exchange is made. Now Crovax and BrianEnigma are very happy ... then Crovax, very generously, offers his binder of spare blacks and silvers to the rest of the table and many people fill holes in their collections. What a great way to finish the night.

The pre event was fun. Got some new silvers and blacks. Got a card signed by BrianEnigma. Had a really fun time at dinner, and got to meet a lot of cool people. Really fun.

I wish I got more pictures though Sad
