Map looks bit plainer than the one I have been using so may be able to solve using this simplified version.
Well done Dom.

Congratulations Dom Smile Any chance you could do a quick one- or two-sentence hint for the 'silver summaries' thread?

My God, no wonder I have been looked out so many times - the new map I am using is so much better and I have found it easier to match the numbers to ships. Don't know if I am going along the right lines but I ma going to retry my wrong answers again but this time using the correct numerals Smile Believe it or not but I am actually at work trying to solve this card as well as place my orders.

Good grief. For the first time ever, I've somehow managed to be in the first 10 solves. And on a silver as well Very Happy

Cheers for the map, and to various people who posted their ideas about the card - if it weren't for you lot, I'd be looking blankly at the card for months!

So I'm hearing a lot of gratefulness for the map, but not a lot of ship to Roman numeral lists that I posted it for. Hmm...

Hmm, I had been using that map from the start, so I still don't know what it is I'm missing. I'm at a loss for another pair of ships to try...there's a connection I'm not seeing.

I thought I had been. Is the name of one of the ships in the solution the name of multiple ships in the battle? I've tried titans as siblings, and gods on opposing sides.

Think about things that are the same but different (I'm not being difficult it's just hard to write a clue that isn't too obvious)

It's looking for the numbers of the ships, Kradlum - spelling, unfortunately, doesn't matter.

Yeah, sorry Sad I remembered when I went to bed that the answer was in numbers. Embarassed

Does the typo in Von's hint have any bearing or is it just a typo?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
verses instead of versus

Not having the card, it wasn't the map but the details of the Roman numerals I needed (and still need).

As I am new to this forum lark I don't know how to do the spoiler thingy so if someone gives me a clue as to how to do this I will post the numerals to the ships as requested. Cheers
