Thread merged. Apologies for any ensuing confusion - posts will realign themselves by time written.
I understand the need for people to air their concerns. However, let's keep it all in one thread, shall we? Posting with courtesy in potentially sensitive topics is also appreciated.

Strange, strange distribution.
I now have 4 copies of 'hybridisation' and 4 of 'my dear watson'... from just 8 packs.
/me boggles a bit.

I was rather lucky and had 5 silvers from 16 packs of pure wave 4. Oddly, no blacks. And they are supposedly more common! Pssshh!

For me it was #189: Multi-threaded.

Wave 4 Box Coalition Question I got 11 blacks - all 10 new blacks and 1 swap
and only 1 silver - Escape
I noticed that in my box purples are much easier to get than blues, with only 15 blues in the whole box whereas I got a massive 45 purples.

In my 2 pure wave 4 boxes I received 1 silver with 11 blacks and 5 silver with 7 blacks. Wish I had the luck of those with the massive silver boxes .

My guess, and it's purely a guess is that it's designed to mess up people who buy boxes, open the packs and sell the contents.
Thats based on the assumption that the average person goes into a shop and buys a few packs from a box; doesn't notice the borked ratios, and maybe gets a silver.
The seller buys a few boxes and is greatly disappointed with the quantity of blacks- do they dare risk it and waste money on another box?
I can see the logic in this, people who buy few packs from lots of boxes will ultimately win, with the sellers of indivisual cards getting done over.
What does everyone think?

I'm not sure... I bought a box for $128 US and sold the Silvers that came in it for $200 US. I'll probably get close to $300 US when all is said and done (also selling sets of red-purple). This gives me a set of red-purple (42 puzzles!), a few blacks, and the money to buy another box and still have my original $128. But I can see your point in that if I had gotten one of the Black card only boxes I would have been screwed (not that I planned to do this going in).

This doesn't really relate to the variety within boxes, but is about individual packs instead... But I didn't feel like starting a new thread (sorry!).
I just opened a (wave 4, mixed) pack that had eight cards in it.
(Both from wave 3... #36 and #6)
So, just out of curiosity, has this happened to anyone else?
I have a hard time believing that this is an unique incident.

There have been other weird things, such as an unopened box I shipped that the buyer swears only contained 35 packs instead of 36.

My first starter only came with 2 booster packs and one only had 4 cards in it.
