I think this is a riddle and the answer is "fate" but the website I usually use to check riddles is down and I don't have time to verify Rolling Eyes

Your right as putting fate gives you a new page http://www.greywethers.net/fate.html

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Clicking go takes you to one of 7 random pages each with one letter which together spells penrose which gives us http://www.greywethers.net/penrose.html

The quilt is made using Penrose Tiling, developed by mathematician Roger Penrose.

A compendium of articles may be found here: http://www.ics.uci.edu/~eppstein/junkyard/penrose.html

Quote:
Penrose was not the first to discover aperiodic tilings, but his is probably the most well-known. In its simplest form, it consists of 54- and 72-degree rhombi, with "matching rules" forcing the rhombi to line up against each other only in certain patterns. It can also be formed by tiles in the shape of "kites" and "darts" or even by deformed chickens (see the "perplexing poultry" entry below). Part of the interest in this tiling stems from the fact that it has a five-fold symmetry impossible in periodic crystals, and has been used to explain the structure of certain "quasicrystal" substances.

One of the links goes to this article:

Is greywethers perhaps showing us the theory behind what is happening to CAROL (ST1)?

Wasn't the original intent of these pages supposed to help us figure out the login for Greywethers?

Sent June 5th.

my poems, it seems, have failed at best
and none have yet to pass the test
and still, there are rules I must abide
and so another way I've tried

perhaps words not numbers will show the way
and lead beyond, inside the grey
for time is fleeting, our chances wane
and rising winds spin the weather vane

where numbers may have stopped your path
a new way lies, devoid of math
step by step you must progress
before any truths I may confess

Then the letters "VECHTML" were highlighted the next day. And then 12 days later, we get an email from whitehouse leading us to a new page (return) and now, 11 days later, we get another one.
The only thing I'm getting out of all these pages, are some type of math formulas. (Remember, I'm awful at math). I guess if we figure it out right, the pages will lead us to the correct way to solve the 13 number pages Question

Which leads to...

This whole thing is being discussed elsewhere, and maybe this should be in puzzles...as part of the whole?

I spec that since we couldn't get into Greywethers via the login, they are letting us get into to the StB pages in order, within a certain time frame, that would have occurred if we had solved the login. "Lead beyond, inside the grey" - we are getting inside, beyond the login.

Doesn't mean that we should ignore the login - if it's still there, then it's still an active puzzle.

I didn't see it that way.

My interpretation of above Wink

Since the numbers stopped us from our path, than the new way will help us continue on our path (for the password solve) without math "equations", we have to go in order before he can confess any truths of our way to enter greywethers.

I mean, if he can't confess any thruths, what is it that we are getting now? What is this info leading us too? The password solve, or another "place".

Am I making any sense? Someone please tell me you see what I'm thinking. Hey, if I'm misunderstanding (and I hope so. I still pull out those number pages and LOOK), I will be very happy. Just let me know you see the "white" area so I don't think I'm going crazy. Because if I am completely misinterpreting that message, than I should not be playing this game. I am thinking bassackwards from everyone else and can not "see" what the PM's want me to see. Thank goodness I have learned to be very, very patient. (most of the time anyways Wink )

BTW, I emailed greywethers with my confusion. (Yay, they say, another one from Myssfitz. Let's see what this one is. I could use a good laugh today). I hope they answer this time.

I was thinking along the same lines as you Myssfitz, I took/am taking all this to be an alternative way to find the password 'using words not math' if we were already 'beyond' the login it would have made more sense to give a few more hints to the puzzle solution rather than just let us in.
