Just recieved this:
Did I miss something? Why would Sarah have to ask Phyllis if she had talked to Iris? Unless Sarah meant she had just seen Phyllis and didn't think to ask. If so then Phyllis must be in town as well. Anyway, I tought the feud was between Iris and Sam.

Quote:
Dear Sylvia,

Thanks for writing. I didn't think to ask Phyllis if she had talked to Iris, and unfortunately she's gone on to bed. I'll ask her first thing tomorrow, though, and let her know about that hole.

Best,
Sarah

Sarah,

Sorry to bother you but I was wondering did anyone contact Iris to help with the search for Meaghan. Her abilitis might come in handy about now.
Oh, and I told Dale to check the fenced area shown on this map where Dale has labled \\\"the hole.\\\"
http://www.thewishcomic.com/journal/080406.html

There is a cave out there with some high tech machinery in it.

Sorry to bother you so late, but I thought under the circumstances you might still be up.

Sylvia

Another reply from Sarah. We were talking about ice-creams, I sent her this meesage:

Dear Sarah:
You did it perfectly with this message thing Wink
So the moving is ongoing already? Great! Although I'm a bit sad because of the Hollow Neddle closing (I love antiques), I have the feeling that the building will do a perfcte library Very Happy

I don't like to interfere but... have you talked to Meaghan lately? Sam told me she was having a hard time and a rude behaviuor lately, and Dale is also worried about her... you were very close before all this crazyness begun so... maybe asking her help for the moving, now that she's on holidays, would help her?

And regarding the ice creams... I love them too! My favourite flavour is \\\"turrĂ³n\\\", it's a typicall Christmas sweet made of almonds... I've looked at the dictionary and it says the translation to english is \\\"nugat candy\\\" :/
What's that 'Cherry Garcia' thing? It's the first time I heard about it.

Regards,
Pilar

Ans she's jus replied:
Quote:
Dear Pilar,

First of all, you were spot-on about Meaghan. I'm sure you heard the news that she's gone missing tonight. I do wish now that I had taken a moment to reach out to her. I keep hoping she's going to show up at my door for a heart to heart. I've been going out and searching around town every few minutes.

Second, I've heard of nougat candy, but not in ice cream. I wonder if it means the same thing to me that it does to you. Where are you from? Cherry Garcia is a flavor from Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and it's cherry-flavored ice cream with hunks of chocolate and cherries in it. Heaven!

Best,
Sarah

When Meaghan went missing

From Sarah/Aug 14th 2:30AM
Quote:
Dear Drizabella,

That's good thinking. I hesitate to start knocking on doors since it's so late, and I know not all of my neighbors are nightowls. I'm sure a lot of people check their email first thing in the morning, though. And if Meaghan did decide to camp out tonight, at least it is relatively warm and dry.

It's hard to say what anyone would do until they do it, really. I know Meaghan has seemed distracted all summer, although I attributed it to her situation at home. It seems plausible to me that she might need a little time to herself to sort things out. Heaven knows she's been through a lot!

Best,
Sarah

Some of us online, have contacted people on the AIN asking if they have seen her or heard from her to contact the Aglaura police or her father.
I'm distressed about this. I hope your right, though. Is this something that Meaghan would do?

Also, to clarify what went on it chat in the wee hours of the morning after we first heard the news about Meaghan. Sylvia had the idea to notify the citizens of Aglaura via AIN, whose last login showed date as August 13th. So several of us did that, including Rogi, Sandra, dashcat, and enaxor. (Please, forgive me if I've left out your name.)
I called Dale's cellphone and left a message about what we were doing.

A wiki page was started to try to keep track of those who weren't contacted. (If you're interested, it can be found here .)
edit to add:
AIN messages about Meaghan being missing were sent to:
Sam Greene
Sarah Wyatt
Peter Bloodaxe - Pharmacist, CVS Yea Vote
Miles Kostenko - Architect, MarzentYea Vote
John Matheson - Science Teacher, AISD Nay Vote

Mavis Thiemann - Owner, Second Chance Nay Vote
Allison Underwood - Waitress, The Feedsack

Emails were also sent to Keith and Iris.
Of Course, Dale, Bruce and Diana knew---> called Dawn Prufrock.

It was a good idea, Sylvia. Smile

By now, with the "News from Aglaura" update and all, I suspect the whole town knows about Meaghan being missing.

Edit again:
Just as I was writing this post, the below appeared in the AIN mailbox from Brain Talbot.
Quote:
I don't really know the Spragues well, but I've offered to help in any way I can. I figure a nurse might be good to have around if the worst happens.

Fishing Expositions

No great revelations here; just posting for posterity.
All of these were recieved August 17th. The first four are after the search for Meaghan. The last two were fishing expositions on my part, from before Meaghan went missing.

I was a little tired, it usually takes me a while to catch up on my sleep when I miss some. But it sure was worth it! More than one person has asked the same question of Diana I assure you, and I personally think she's very lucky it turned out as it did.

Thanks so much for all the online help!

Hello Miles,
It was wonderful of you to join the search for Meaghan last night! (I was one of the people online trying to help.)
I want just can't understand, is why Diana left her young girl home alone in the first place.
Thankfully, there was a successful conclusion to the mess she started.
How are you after all this?
Drizabella

I'm fairly pooped but happy, and yes Thank God it did indeed have a happy ending. I'd hate to think what might have happened to that sweet child, her mother should be a little more cautious.

Hi Luna,
What a night last night!
How are you after last night?

Can you beleive that Diana would leave her young daughter home alone in the first place?!
Thank God, it had a happy ending.

Yeah, I'm fine. A little tired maybe, but not too bad. Wasn't it wonderful though? Thank you so much for your help, I sure would want you and your friends on my side if I were ever in trouble!

I kind of agree with you about Diana leaving Meaghan alone, I wonder where her head was at? I don't want to rock the boat too much though, it ended quite happily and it doesn't seem the right time or place to bring it up.

Thor hugs you back! He's a wonderful hugger who has a lot of trouble holding his licker!

Oh Anita,
Last night was incredible!
What I can't believe is that Diana Sprague would leave her young daughter home alone in the first place! How irresponsible of her!
Geeze, I remember when I had a puppy...I wouldn't even leave a young *dog* home alone.
What was it like being out there last night? Are you ok?
It's so wonderful of you to have done that. I was one of the people online trying to help.
Well, I gtg get some sleep.
Hug Thor for me. Smile

I've always had a quiet fascination for architecture. I find myself studying the line and space of buildings with childlike awe at times. Heh, I guess you could say that I'm enamored with what you do? You've mentioned \\\"some of the stuff we've been developing\\\" , please, tell me more.

I had written to some of the businesses asking for addresses to try to get more info for the map, and to see if there was any correlation between votes for Marzent's redevelopment plan and location. So far, I only received this reply.

I love the name of the shop \\\"Neat as a Pin\\\". It's cute seeing it here in the intranet with all these push pins. Smile
What's the address of the store, so I can tell my friends in the area about it.
Thanks,

These replies were received today from various townsfolk that were AIN'd around Aug 11th.
The first one is just begging for a reply...something about the dreams and/or suicides; is in order, me thinks.
The rest are mostly fluff, and my attempt to make contacts in Aglaura.

As a healthcare worker, I was just wondering if you have noticed any common health problems among the citizens of Aglaura.
Thanks for your time,

It's extremely exciting to be a part of the strong and steady growth of Aglaura. Yes there are pros and cons with my job as Councilwoman, but I think that can be said about any job. The way I see it, as long as the best interests of Aglaura are served, I can survive any con of this job.

I asked Cecilia Sampson a little about Marzent, but didn't find much out.
Cecilia Sampson wrote:
I'm sorry I can't answer your questions about Marzent's decision making process in the selection of Aglaura. I wasn't employed by Marzent at the time, and the history I was referencing in my profile was simply my passion for all thing ancient.

Sorry..

Original Message from Pagrashtak Pagrashtak:
I saw on your profile to ask you about history; I'd like to know more about the history of Marzent. I read on the website that Marzent bought land in Aglaura a month after being founded. Why Aglaura? Was it related to the research department formed the previous month that searched for new ways to utilize the natural resources of New Jersey?
