in the midst of the terrible storms we had, they were there

I've been promising you a report on what Bruce and I found
on our last little trip out in the Pine Barrens, or maybe
I should say below the Pine Barrens. Before Marzent started
patrolling the fenced in areas out there with security teams.
To make a long story short, we were lucky enough to find what
we think is the same cave that Keith filmed awhile ago, before
he took off with the missing masks. It had the same sort of
sci-fi-ish machines and equipment in it, that's for sure, some
of it apparently old mainframe computer equipment from years
ago. Neither Bruce or I had any idea of just what it was we
were looking at, and I tried to grab a few pictures with my cell
phone but they barely came out at all. I'll post them here when
I have more time, but I don't think they show anything Keith's
video didn't. The whole place felt somehow unreal or even
surreal, like a dream or a movie set or something. There were
pipes and conduits running from the computers and strange machines
back into the stone walls of the cave, and little else there,
although there were signs that perhaps some other furniture or
machines had been there at one time too, from marks on the floor.

One thing was for certain though, Marzent's fingerprints were all
over it, from their logo on the fences outside to the hastily
scrawled M's in places on the cave walls below. more

Bruce has been doing his best to see what he can learn from the
inside, by staying there to all hours of the night sometimes,
but it's feeling like we may have reached the end of what we are

Anyway, while Bruce has been doing his best at Marzent, I've been
going over and over everything that has happened, everything I've
learned since this all started, in an attempt to put the pieces
together in a way that makes sense. All the way back to that poem
or rhyme I heard in my dreams and from Digitalis himself in the
form of a prophesy of sorts. Damn, I had almost forgotten about
him, poor guy. I think maybe I could use his help and advice right
now, even though Bruce keeps saying that he couldn't have been
anything too special if he's let a little thing like death stop
him from communicating with me. I wonder about his sense of humor
sometimes, but at least he's trying to keep us both sane.

"When six have fallen, it begins." That has to be referring to the
six masks that disappeared back at the beginning of summer, doesn't
it? But if it does, "what" begins, and how do six masks that Sarah
made have any influence on it?

I'll continue this later. I think I just heard Bruce come home.

this crazy idea - what if the story I had dreamed up and was turning
into a comic book tale was somehow foretelling the future, just in
a slightly confused and misinterpreted version as often happens in
dreams. Could my dreams actually be telling the future?

Yeah, I know, it sounds totally crazy, probably more than anything
else I've said recently, and that's saying something. And besides,
like I mentioned earlier, it didn't quite make sense and all the
pieces didn't quite fit. To point out just one of the most obvious
problems with the idea, the damn comic book story starts with the
deaths of Diana and Meaghan, at a time when we were still together.

But then there were these two things in a row, two events that were

my inability to understand. The first was the chat at Klepsydra with
J.D. Willingham; even though I wasn't there I've heard all about it,
especially how "John Doe #6" started saying, "I remember" after the
chatbot or whatever it is Turing Principle showed up. And then there
was this whole thing with Sarah Wyatt and her remembering the truth
of her history in that house and what happened there.

That's when I started thinking something that could be even crazier
but for some reason feels like it might be closer to being right.

Maybe I wasn't predicting the future at all with my dreams and my
story. Maybe I was remembering the past
