[EMAIL] Phyllis Aug 11 Move, New Dr for JD, Dream of Box

Quote:
Things are going well. Hectic, of course. Who knew I had so many.things! I guess you never really realize how much you have until you need to move. I am seriously at the point where I'd rather throw everything else way than pack another box. I thought running a shop was exhausting!

And yes, the decision has made things easier.I am moving! There is action, and I am taking it. Somehow, it makes me feel better.

As for Sarah, please, don't worry too much about her. She's not going to be alone at first, I'll be here a couple of days longer at least.

I'm also happier about Douglas' situation. He's beginning a new treatment plan with a new doctor next week. I'm hopeful that this will help, as anything at this point is better than nothing, yes? This doctor seems to be very interested in having me there to facilitate his treatment. I will even be trying to get an email address set up for Douglas, as he seems to be craving human interaction more than anything. I might even try to get them to work on their defunct chatting system.

And you are right.writing out my dreams might help. So, here is one that has been bothering me as of late. Make of it what you will.

I wake, and it's cold. I notice that Douglas is no where to be found. With a sharp pang, I am worried, and rise, pulling on my robe, to look for him. I move through the house, listening to my footsteps creak the floorboards. My breath comes out as fog when I enter the study, and see him, crouched, clothed only in his nightpants.

I call his name, but he doesn't move. I move closer, watching his naked sides expand as he breathes, watching the puffs of breath rise from around him, and reach down to touch him. Before I do, he turns, still kneeling. He is holding a box in hands, made of wood, an old shoebox perhaps. Terror claws at my throat, and I call out his name once more, frantic now. He looks up at me, and smiles. The smile is what frightens me the most, oddly. He then opens the box. It creaks like the floorboards, and suddenly, everything goes wrong. I see the house as half burned, embers falling from the ceiling, children screaming from below my feet, howling in pain. I hear shovels of earth behind turned and smell fresh blood and old death. I see small pale faces dancing around me, before being blotted out.

It all flashes, so quickly, that when I wake my heart is racing, and I've broken out in a sweat. I know it has something to do with my worry for Douglas, but.it bothers me like nothing else.

If you've any idea what to make of it, do let me know.

Hope to hear from you soon, my friend.
Phyllis
