Cognivia

I tried to email Cognivia today to inquire about Ceretin and their other products and received an automated message that the email could not go through. I'm wondering if this is due to the link being down (although it is back up), or if it is some sort of clue.

I'm new to this whole thing, so I don't really know much...

Sounds like a side-effect of the link going down to me... I can post the correspondence I was sent a hile back in reply to a similar inquiry if you like? Smile

Funny, I had the same problem - I guess you are also trying to get the solution to card 82 as well?
A copy of that e-mail would be useful, thanks.

Here's one:

mandySPLATcheapceretin.com
to me

Dear Customer,

THIS EMAIL HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN BY THE COGNIVIA LEGAL DEPARTMENT AND PERPLEX CITY

'cheapceretin.com' is selling illegal and dangerous fakes of the Ceretin
cognitive enhancer drug and we are in the process of closing down their bank and
website operations. Please do not attempt to make any transactions with
'cheapceretin.com' or any other similar sites.

Here's the other one:

ceretinSPLATcognivia.com to me

Thank you for your interest in Ceretin. Ceretin is the market's leading
wide-spectrum cognitive enhancer and offers significant advances over
previous generations and competing products. However, as with all cognitive
enhancers, it does have mild side effects. These include possible
disorientation, mild synaesthesia, restlessness and agitation. For more
information, please contact your doctor.

Ceretin Customer Support, Cognivia

Hmm... is it wrong to like the idea of a drug that can make you taste words?

just wondering whether hyperzz original problem actually was to do with the stuff we have seen already, or is maybe that the PXC email address dont seem to have recovered from the link being severed yet.

i tried emailing the sentinel on monday and got this:

Quote:
From: Sandbox Mail Transport Daemon (build 19650602)
Subject: Message Undelivered

Hello,

This is the mailer daemon at outgoing.sandbox.mindcandy. I'm sorry, but I have
been unable to deliver your message. I shall keep trying every hour for the
next 7 days. If you don't hear from me again, you may assume your message has
been delivered.

The reason why your message hasn't been delivered so far is that
incoming.sandbox.academy has experienced a critical error and has entered a
recovery mode. During this process, some delays will occur. Service should
resume normal operation within 48 hours.

Should you wish further information on this error, please access your
designated support resource. Unfortunately, the security context for this
instance dictates I may not disclose your designated support resource.

has anyone else been able to email any of the characters since the link was restored?

rach =)

I wonder what "Radiation" tastes like... Maybe "Orange"... That'd be interesting... what if "Orange" doesn't taste like an orange at all? What if it tastes more like a grape?

Our whole preconcieved notions would be shattered and we, as humans, would have to restart the basis of all out knowledges of language and reformat things to make more sense to the way that the words actually taste...

Hmm... well, there are people who have just always been like this. They find life particularly difficult, especially as it's not something that they can switch off. There's one chap who finds that his own name gives him the distinct and quite disgusting taste of earwax in his mouth. Lovely.

I suppose it wouldn't be too different from waking up as a dog, where your information about the world around you comes mainly from the way it smells.

Although I suppose people who enjoy a little cheap acid have experienced mild synaesthesia for years, so we'd probably all just go around calling things groovy and admiring the flashing purple giraffes on the ceilings.

/me is, of course, supposed to be doing something else.

See, unfortunately I can't help but think that, despite this example of how it could all go wrong, synaesthesia would be incredibly fun. Especially how I already associate colours/tastes/smells with words, just not in the same way. o_o
