[SPEC] 307 and Map

Not sure were to post this, so feel free to move it if needed.

I took the 307 symbol from Keith's site and the map from the swag and using Dale's latest journal entry July 24
and came up with the image below. I don't know if it helps any or not.

I believe this is similar to what Dale is saying in his journal:
Quote:
It may not be immediately obvious to anyone who doesn't know the area, but the circle on the right is around basically the same area shown by the circle on the Aglaura map to the left. It's almost centered on the same spot, just a bigger version of the circle someone's drawn over the town. Which, it finally dawned on me, may be just what whoever made the combined 307 / map image was hinting at, with the second black dot outside the main 307 circle. If you look at those two things and imagine a second 307 ring around the first one on the Aglaura map, and then the circle on the map on the right, it almost looks like rings of a wave in a pond, after someone tossed a stone into it.

Note: I left the question marks in case they might be important.

This may be going a little over board but I tried the following:

I've been playing around with this image again and added the lines to see what they intersect. The yellow lines I added to just see where they would go if they were used, but mostly to force the EOS into the scheme of things and to give 12 slices to the pie.

The yellow line at the bottom passes through Edge of Sight.

The yellow line at the top I lined up with the blue symbol that represents a gazebo or something. Doing this made it pass through several buildings and end up on a building at the top but I can't make out the name of it. [edit] I now know the name, this is Beersheeba Package Goods.

Now remember the yellow lines are my invention and may not be important in / to the game.

On the right, the middle red line passes through the CVS and the Hollow Needle.

On the left the first red line from the bottom passes through the High School and the 2nd building from the left on Winton Pond Rd. I know that Synthasia is located on this road but I don't know which building.

The next red line up passes through the flower shop.

The next (3rd red line from the bottom) passes through the Library.

I know the image is large but I tried to get it to the scale of Aglaura which is 1.4 square miles according to http://aglauranj.org/facts.php which if my math is correct means it is approx. 6336 feet on each side.

In this image 16 pixels = 1 foot. The center of the circle is at about 195 pixels across and 185 pixels down. Multiply these by 16 and you get 3120 feet and 2960 feet.

Hope this helps, but then it could mean nothing.

[edit] to replace with smaller image. Please PM me if anyone has trouble viewing them, too small, too large, etc.. And I will try to fix it or upload them somewhere else and link to them so everyone has a chance to view them for what is best for them individually. I personally have myopia and tend to make things bigger to better see them. So if anyone else has this problem, I will gladly put larger images up at a different location. The smaller images make the board neater anyways.

Killalaz, I know that. but these are different and I'm not twisting your arm or forcing you to look at them. That's why I labeled this thread [SPEC] so you don't have to look at them unless you want. I'm just trying to make connections.

For example:

The wall at the end of Keith's video makes me think of a secret wall inside a building were you push a brick or pull a lever or something like that and the wall opens.

I didn't want to get into this here and now but it could be the Hollow Needle has such a wall that when opened goes into that cave but then it could mean nothing.

And on top of all that it's possible the Jersey Devil story was created merely to keep people out of the woods and discovering the caves, etc..

I don't see what any of that has to do with the pictures you posted, I know this is a [Spec] thread but it is in the puzzle section for one and it is a bit misleading since we already know what the map is supposed to look like.

Killalaz, I know you don't understand, or disagree or something. That doesn't mean you need to get into arguments like this. And this isn't the first time, hell, you managed to get me into a forum argument before. If you really don't agree, or want to get into an argument or something, PLEASE take it to PM's.

AND, next time, if you want to point something out like it's already been said, please either trout with ONE post, or take it to PM's.

Besides Sylvia had added something that hadn't been talked about before, by adding the lines to see what lines up. IF NOTHING ELSE, that in itself would help to decide how/where to put in inner or outer rings like Dale had suggested.

I try. Wink

But seriously, that just takes up forum space and confuses new people.

Hell, even this post should probably be in PM, but, I think it would be nice for everyone to see it.

Hmmm, according to this map, there's something buried (or whatever) right next to the new municipal center (If I'm reading that right) Perhaps, Dale could check it out? Well, if he can do it without drawing suspicion?

Good idea. I was just going to suggest all three of you take it to PM. Smile

Note the beginning of Keith's video shows a fence with a cave on the other side, the fence might be from the location of his drawing here http://www.three-o-seven.com/march7.html

As noted before, the wall at the end of Keith's video makes me think of a trick wall leading perhaps into a basement of one of the Aglaura buildings.

Another mark up. Notice how the spirals and lines intersect at important sites.

[edit] replaced with a smaller image. Please PM me if anyone is having trouble viewing the images. If they are too big, too small, etc., and I'll see what I can do to fix it.
