[LANDALAN] www.landalan.org possible trailhead? Hey guys, long time lurker, first time poster. I did a quick search and didn't find anything here.
For the last few days I've been trying to figure out if there's anything to the website http://www.landalan.org which got posted over on another forum that I read: PS3Forums.com .
I haven't been able to get anything on it though. What do you guys think?
EDIT - moved thread into ARGs With Potentials forum from N&R. 8/3/06 - SG
EDIT2 - Retagged - Gisk

"yzgu.fvahg" is in invisible ink underneath the paragraph. Whatever that means. Nothing else as far as I can see.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
yzgu.fvahg reverses to ghavf.ugzy
ROT cyphered, ghavf.ugzy changes to tunis.html
On http://www.landalan.org/tunis.html, the page is called Updates, and there is a message in plaintext: The Tunis Phase is under way. The UN will be our Mulai-Hassan, and the sewers have been talkative lately.
Please check your updates for further information.
Highlight the text, and there's letters in the spaces that spell out: Please help me escape
EDIT: Doh, beaten by Russ.

The site seems to be Landa Lan not Land Alen which i think might first come to mind. That is all.

A link to some quick and dirty info on Tunis and Mulai-Hassan. It looks like Tunis was captured by the Turks in 1534. Mulai-Hassan was the Sultan of Tunis and fled to Charles the 5th, who reinstated him and helped recapture Tunis the following year.

There's a wiki about him, but it's in German.

Ha, they actually asked you to remove whois info from this forum? It's not like anyone can't just look it up in two seconds, anyway.

I might get a trout on this one, but did anyone notice this in the source of the original page?
<!-- There is more to the style of this page than there appears -->
I'm looking through the .css file of the page, but haven't found anything terribly interesting yet. I would say it's a clue to the invisible ink below, but if you're in the source your gonna see the invisible ink text anyhow...
dunno, thoughts?

Hello, pretty new here (very new)
I noticed you have been following this as well.
I remember seeing this site and i checked Google Cache on it.
When the cache loaded, it just looked like some community for online games, fairly clean looking site, simple layout.
But now, there is not one single piece of information that Google has on it.
hmmm
I'm trying to find the cache on my computer, scanning the drive (its been written over by now) for it.
Hope i can find it, i doubt it will be that badly corrupted since it has only been a day now.
I'll get back to you when/IF i find it, heh.

True. I think the position of it is weird, also. It's smack in the middle of the plaintext, and it almost reads like a sentance: "We believe ...There is more to the style of this page than there appears..."
I'll keep looking and see if I can find anything else...

Got it
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Look at style.css
If you take the first letter of each section you get Future.html
The next looks like future in different languages, im guessing we fill those in and get our next lead...
so far im working on :
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
portuguese/spanish/italian
German
English
French
portuguese/spanish/italian
portuguese/spanish/italian
although Rance pointed out it should be zukunft..
Style2.css maybe of relevance, its letters are BAB
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Ok then the order is
Italian
German
English
French
Spanish
Portuguese
Giving the red lines as "Terminate" www.landalan.org/terminate
The Blue lines show the end of the word.

The http://www.landalan.org/terminate/ page is a bit tougher.
The 'puzzle' is
Quote:
The three branches spell out our mission:
followed by a form:
__________ the ___________ ___________
I've tried various combinations of Executive, Legislative and Judicial. I've also tried various combinations of Future, Present and Past.
** wanted to add that the div containing the quote on the original page was called 'mission.' I don't know if that relates to 'spell out our mission.' But wanted to point it out.
Any thoughts?
