SPEC: Things that may or may not be useful...

I went through the fairies pages that are currently at the end of the tunnel on the sainte beregonne pages.

Some of these things may be useful, or not, but some of them may be worth mentioning to you various in-game contacts... italics are my comments.

Geancancah ((Gan-cahn-ock) Another from Ireland Origin.
Beautiful, tiny, with huge curved eyes, large pointed ears,
a playful grin, and small wings that beat so rapidly they
appear to move as little blinking lights. They will protect
the home and all things in the fire including your fire wishes
(Candle Magick). You must however be sure to catch them at the
right time and not try to ask them for help when they are in
the playful mood, otherwise, you are in for a few pranks before
you get what you are asking for. Delight in their playfulness
as they can be easily offended if you do not wish to play. Offer
a warm fireplace and sweet milk and they are there to stay
and guard your home and fire along with the occasional and
harmless prank or two.

Faeries are more than willing to work with humans as long as humans are willing to work with faeries and have an open mind and heart for suggestions. Faeries never demand a human to follow their suggestions only to be listened to objectively.
Begin by selecting a site. Once the site has been chosen, walk in the middle of this area, close your eyes and out loud state your desires, dreams and wishes and ask the faeries for their assistance. Since faeries have strong desires to work along with you, they are more than willing to help you learn the best methods to create and accomplish this feat. By cooperating with one another, you will be able to create a harmonious space for humans and faeries to share and enjoy.

Contacting faeries
1)request their presence while in circle, but don't let them in!
2)use bluebells. They are said to ring when faeries are near
3)leave them fresh food, milk, water, or strawberries
4)peek into a faery mound at Midsummer while wearing protective charms
5)plant primrose & cowslip in your garden or window box
6)they like catnip!
7)they are attracted to oaks, elders, willows, birches, and ash, and especially blackthorn trees
8)keep an eye out for them underfoot. Call out a warning before tossing something out of a window, especially at night
9)don't thank them profusely
10)don't presume to command their presence

Protection from Faeries:
1)don't desecrate a faery mound
2)beware faery rings. You will be forever trapped in the faery world if you enter at dusk or dawn.
3)discover a faery's true name
4)cross running water
5)sharp noises(i.e. bells, clapping hands)
6)protection rituals
7)basil, garlic, nettles, clove, mistletoe, pepper, hazel, mandrake, tomatoes
8)toss a turned-out glove into faery rings
9)tie up rowan, thorn, & ash in a red thread
10)iron
11)smoke
12)wearing inside out clothing
13)St. John's Wort

Also note: St. John's Wort is also good for mental illnesses, such as depression

Hobgoblins - worldwide. These mean hearted fareies have many appearances as they are noted shapeshifters. They like to invade ones home and cause great discomfort to the residents. could this be what is in the Willingham home?

Jinn - Saudi Arabia. This is the spirit known as the Genie which lives in a bottle. When the bottle is rubbed, the genie appears, ready to grant one's wishes.

Korreds - Brittany. These male elves are the guardians of the standing stones. They have large heads with large facial features. their bodies are hairy with very thin legs and arms. They seem to take great joy in frightening humans away from the stones.

Leprechauns - Ireland. This male faery is well known for his green clothes and green tri cornered hat. He is famous for his pot of gold and three wishes, which one can have if they can outwit this wily faery. Music, dancing and drinking seem to be his favorite pastimes.

Nunnehi - North America. These elves are sacred to the cherokees. It is said that they live in underground towns. And assist the indians in their times of need.

The faerie dimension is as small as a dew drop on a leaf or as large as a clear starry night. There is no time.

Ballybogs are small, mud-covered creatures with round bodies and neckless headds. They have long, spindly arms and legs. They are solitary. It is said they are very stupid. They do not speak, just grunt and slobber. One would find them near peat bogs. They are harmless, but unpleasant. They may be guardian spirits of the bogs.

Dinnshenchas are dwarf faeries in the service of the Goddess Aine. They shapeshift forms to help avenge women harmed by men. Yes, I specifically mention this one for Phyllis.

The Lesidhe is the guardian of the forests who is always disguised as foliage. They appear androgynous. They are found in groups but seem to have little to do with one another. They are classified as solitaries. They like to mimic mockingbirds to confuse hikers. They have learned to make even more confusing human sounds. They are believed to dislike humans for their callous treatment of the environment, although they have never harmed anyone. I hope Dale and Sam are careful.

Hyacinth - Attuning to these faeries restores belief that all is possible. These spirits hold many answers to the mysteries of death and burial, have energy to help overcome grief, and they awaken greater gentleness within oneself. This may be of some help to Dale.

Jasmine - Being sacred in Persia, this flower has faeries associated with it who are both ancient and wise. They can help one use dreams for prophecy and develop mental clarity. They are especially helpful during changes in life. meant for Phyllis.

Tulip - A beautiful flower faeries lives within the cup of the tulip. This little being awakens trust and helps clear mental faculties. They can stimulate greater vision and hold the knowledge of hidden significance of many things. for all the people living in Aglaura.

Violet - The violet is a simple and modest flower. These qualities are developed by those attuning to the faery. The flower is sacred to all faeries, especially the faery queen. These spirits help fulfill wishes, give the energy of luck and assistance, awaken great psychic sensitivity and often reveal themselves through dreams.

Faeries were considered very similar to humans and those of around our height were known to take human lovers. They can breed with us, and children with a touch of fairy in their blood are mischevous and wild, often having a deep love for the countryside and great artistic skill. Faeries love human children, and will sometimes take an especially beautiful child if it is left unattended. They leave a faerie child (or Changeling) in its place, who is usually large-eyed, pale skinned, and will often only wake at night. You can prevent a child from being taken by placing an object made of iron in its crib. Could this be related to Sarah?

Wishes
Posted by: morbidpunk

I wish to stand tall
Where angles burn and fall
To hang my dreams upon the stars
I hope I havent gone too far

I wish to dance
In the secret circle where faeries prance
To be high and elevated
Instead of grounded and frusterated

I wish I had over come the tangled web
Then I never would have fled
To never cry
But I did when I found my life a lie

I think they are just random sites myself, keeping with the theme, just for us to have a look at.
doubt if any of them have any relevance, if there was anything important on one particular site I think we'd be directed there seperately, not at random with a bunch of other sites.
