And Uncle Sanjean is even worse! He seems to feel I'm still 8 years old and doesn't want me coming home after 9 at night. I'm supposed to have dinner with them every evening, and have to clear it with them if I want to spend a night at a friend's house. Honestly! As if I hadn't been taking perfectly good care of myself in Tanraga all those months!

Soooo it looks like there isn't much for me to do but live with it. Sad My friend Iona says it might be better for me to be out of my dad's way for the next few days anyhow. She wouldn't say what she meant by it, though.

 		Sounds like Sente thinks that Scarlett is a possible abduction target and is trying to hide her away. Although I would have thought that somewhere a bit further away and less obvious would have been better.

Lets hope that 3P don;t read the Earth blogs.....

 		Anyone want to bet that Scarlett finds some way to open a secret passage behind the symbol (or otherwise discover how the symbol works) and will become pivotal to the plot real soon?

I think at this point, we should probably be asking does anyone want to bet that Scarlett doesn't find something important while staying in that house?

EDIT: Perhaps we should suggest to Scarlett to use this "enforced vacation" to her (and our) advantage and do indepth studies of each room? If for no other reason to make sure there isn't a secret door into her bedroom which mean ol' nasty 3P agents could wander in and grab her from?

 		Are we sure that this guy is with the Third Power? I came in late and I don't recall a Third Power symbol on his house? I know this is kinda noobish but could someone fill me in?

 		Mailed Scarlett to suggest she investigate the 3P connections with the house, and perhaps the history of the 3P itself.

Anthony Granier built a house (he's the guy that wrote the diary explaining past experiments with something dangerous), this got passed into the Adamek family and now Scarlett's Uncle Sanjean lives there. "Granier's Mark " is inscribed onto the building and just happens to be the same symbol as the 3P symbol. Recognised as such by Aiko Entrescore from Granier's Diary.

It sort of depends on the alliances of Sente & Sanjean(*).

If both are not 3P, it would be in Scarlett's best interests to make sure the house does not actually have any secret entrances. If it does, that means her life could be in jeopardy while staying at the house. It would also be in the best interests of Sente and Sanjean to know of said weaknesses as well.

If Sente is 3P & Sanjean isn't, then there are two subpossibilities:
A) Sente wants her out of the way and away from helping us. In this case, having her take a look around the house isn't that bad as she would be "out of the way."
B) Sente wants her in a position that she can be "kidnapped" easily and used as leverage over us. Again, having her look around would be a good idea to guarantee her safety.

If Sente isn't 3P & Sanjean is, Scarlett is in a world of trouble but not of our making. She might be able to discover if she is in danger or not if she investigates. The downside of this is that Sanjean can easily ferret out how involved Scarlett is or how close we might get to discovering something that 3P wants secret.

If both are 3P ... well ... at least she can be at least forearmed with that knowledge. In this case, she's already in grave (bad word choice there) peril.

For the record, I'm not sure we want her investigating the history of the 3P for two reasons:
1. Violet's probably better suited to do that as the librarian/researcher.
2. It puts her in a more dangerous position.

However, if she was to spy around the Adamek house, well, she can pass that off as being bored and exploring. I think it is an acceptable risk as well as a suitable precaution for her to learn what she can about her "prison."

(*) Any place Sanjean's name is listed, you can insert Annaliese. We cannot discount the possibility that Scarlett's aunt is 3P.

Spec that probably belongs somewhere else, but what if Sente is not 3p but is still behind the theft and using us to get to the cube before 3p finds it. That makes for a much more dynamic (and stressful) situation.

News to me that spec needs to be placed in a specific forum. Rolling Eyes

In answer to your question, if Sente (and Sanjean) are not 3P, then Scarlett is mostly safe at Granier House. Whether Sente is behind the theft or not is not very relevant to Scarlett's safety while she is cooped up at her Aunt and Uncle's place.
