Congrats drinkmonsters, maybe you will win. No chance that you'll tell us?? Laughing I wouldn't either

But Rose, I disagree telling Sente about the page. This would be a rash decison, and with us not trusting Sente one bit, this would seem like a wrong idea. The only real explination to do that is that we think CT is evil, I wouldn't necessarily think it, but some of the things s/he could be false. But I would not email Sente in my opinon

its all speculation, but my speculation leads to one place.

where would SENTE put a cube?

think on the leaves.

leaves.

leaves.

Leaves are the key.

I leave the rest to you.

Perhaps one of those above...

Or perhaps Columbia or Cornell, the two Ivy league schools in New York...

might i add that i'm sorry if this is all wrong and that it is all speculation, but i'm fairly confident.

might i also propose that 200,000 is too much for one person, and that the money should be split among the top 333 players?

everyone wins.

I would lean towards Columbia given those choices, as it is an Ivy League college that is actually in New York City. Cornell is off in Ithaca.

When did we decide not to trust Sente? And why?

My question was asking if anyone had emailed Sente, Kurt, Violet or anyone else about this page? I haven't emailed anyone - I just wondered if anyone had. I think it would be useful information for them but could put CT in danger. I don't have a definite opinion one way or the other.

Columbia

Columbia University has grounds around the buildings - I am not sure that anyone could dig something to hide there. The lawns and the grounds are well maintained. The last time I was there the lawn out front of the main library was off limits as the grass was being resown.

There are two parks close to Columbia -Morningside and Riverside.

The Medical School I am fairly certain has no place that someone could dig up ground to hide something the size of the Cube - it is pretty much concrete and asphalt right around there.

I could find out if anyone thinks it is worthwhile.

There are other parts of Columbia which are outside of Manhattan. Are we limiting this to Manhattan>

columbia

All of Manhattan has yellow cabs and subway vents. Columbia certainly does as it is a major stop on the uptown number 1 subway line. I still don't see anyone burying anything there though. It is private property.

/me ponders on some of the drivel that resides on these forums.

So the clues on the cards are meaningless are they?

Funny, i dont see them relating to leaves?

i DID say speculation no?

Does Columbia have a time capsule buried anywhere?

just a thought.. only reason I'd see them digging up the ground, but if that were the case the cube's location would've leaked by now..

I would me more than willing to hop a train and head there if we had some more definite evidence.. Wink (and I agree the prize money should be shared)

Okay, this is pretty strange, and I haven't seen anyone else bring it up yet.

I tripped across this thread because I too got an email from Garnet to Henrik. I followed the link over to the Library of Babel site, and moved around leaves to see the message. Others noted it, it didn't seem terribly interesting, so in boredom I moved all the leaves to the very edges.

I flipped over here to see some more spec, but when I flipped back, it simply looked like a dusty old book. Confused, I ran my mouse pointer over it. As if someone blew off dust, words appeared that I haven't seen anyone else quote or post. If they're true, then I think I have more questions than I had before.

To quote:

This is how it was, then. I stumbled onto it. I never intended to
steal anything. In fact, it was more that it stole me. I touched
it and we were gone. I didn't know that could happen. I didn't
know anything. But I'm starting from the wrong place again.
You'll have to excuse me. It's been a long time and I haven't
known who I could tell, or if I could tell anyone.
