Aiko, cause she's nuts. she'd stumble on the cube and touch it, getting transported to earth, SURE!

I think a tretretretre escaped from the zoo and stole it. If I have to pick a person, I posit that Von trained the tretretretre, so he'd have an excuse to contact all these groovy earthlings and show off his earth-knowledge. If any of my theory is even remotely close to the truth, I swear I will die laughing You did say it needn't be sensible, didn't you?!

It wasn't me.
Satoshi has the cube. It has hidden itself in his face. The freckles on his left cheek at six of its vertices are the only visible trace. You can dot-to-dot them into a side view of a cube. Surely that's enough proof.

Man, we're onto the second page already and no one has chosen Anna yet? I'll have to snag her because, it was sooo Anna that 'stole' it.
Two main reasons, 1) Anna is sneaky like that and 2) It's way less awkward to write interactions of all the other characters with the culprit when they find out, because she's dead
As for actual spec; First to knock off a few suspects, it's not going to be Sente because, well, that's just silly. Scarlett and Kurt we've come to love too much for their characters to be turned around. It couldn't be Violet, purely because she has no alibi on the night of the theft. Anna was at the ball on the theft night, however, she didn't actually stay the entire night, she 'hurried home' before the dancing. Also we got some of her blog and learnt about her, but never really got the sort of connection we get from the other blogs. Another big point is that I seem to remember a 3P person talked to a female at the academy who was the wrong contact (though I may have dreamt this =P) so I'd say there was another woman in the academy involved with the 3P and the actual people trying to steal the cube. I reckon Anna was the one they accidentally talked to so she tried to do something to stop them, inadvertently getting into the whole cube on earth thing. Also Anna had full access to the cards and seemed to be acting innocent emailing Sente about weird things on them, and she was the author of the only card referencing The Library of Babel. I'd say this is more than enough evidence here to put my finger on her.

Interesting, and the 3P killed her off because they reckognised her as the person they spoke to by mistake, and knew that she knew?
*likes that spec much*
Personally, I don't want it to turn out to be one of the CRT =( Specially not Kurt or Violet. *sad*

I'm certain who stole the cube Adrian Hon. Just look at any picture of him. You can just see the evil devious brain of power he has. Plus, he almost barely has a tiny tiny resemblance to Satoshi. Oh, and for the record, I'm certain that Adrian Hon is from Perplex City and "Adrian Hon" is HER disguise.
Yes, you know it's true, Adrian Hon is Tippy.
(apologies now for any and all reputations that I am sullying. Also, I'd like to apologize for thinking that Von is a hotty and it depresses me that he's straight. But then, I go watch the T00-Much-Coffee-Stand-In boy in "Ask Mind Candy" and I get all wiffly and start trying to figure out ways to get to England so that I can try to stand really close to him, like, maybe ... as close as his pants... uhm... hrm... I should hush. I'm sorry for finding him a hotty! Hope he doesn't get upset that some bloke in Texas watches "Ask Mind Candy" just because he's so cute. I bet he stole the cube too.)

I can't believe how much I have missed in the last few weeks! [grumble] dissertations shouldn't need to be written over summer holidays... [/grumble].
After a horribly brief catch-up I'm going to place my lecks on the cube thief being... Sanjean Adamek ! Think about it he lives in a house with a huge 3P symbol, ("Granier Mark " my backside!) Scarlett is already there, within his grasp, for when we finally figure out that he is the bad guy. If all that weren't enough then just look at his shifty eyes!

The Butler. You never suspect him, then in the end it turns out he's the one that did it.

My favorite (pet?) theory -- Kurt is actually a tretretretre. It's like Hitchhiker's Guide -- furry lemur-like creatures pretend to live in zoos, climb trees and occasionally escape...but they're actually running the entire show.
Cube Retrieval Tretretretre" has a nice ring to it, no?

No, no, no, it was Professor Plum in the billiard room with the knife!

Darn, those were the only Clue characters I knew, so I'll go with G-Man. He had a mysterious background AND wormholes long before Perplex City contacted us.....

The Mastermind Caine is the mastermind behind everything!
He's got the inside knowledge.
He's a musician. Remember the Receda School of Music with its mysterious 'private lessons' and such?
He conveniently 'screwed up' while following the stolen component from the crypto dept.
If he's not the mastermind he's in on it somehow!

Oh, definitely. Although, I still think he's a AI gestalt that the Cube created, wrapped in a body of metal and flesh and bone, to run Mind Candy.

Clark Kent.
He's from another planet, he has unearthly powers. What could be more obvious?
