going back to steptwo.html. I believe it was supposed to solve to BOTH knowledge and prometheus. here is why:

the letters from the 2ndX/dot combinations were: nrsoleslyinpiyoaeeeoeparflsnteeuegmuwiolrdshetrgtlhfwsnorenpaseoroanhoibfrertwttsneiib

which (as i've mentioned in a previous post in this thread) is "Prometheus hangs yet upon a barren stone. Free will fails to flower where responsibility does not reign" all mixed up leading to prometheus.html

letters indicated by the 1stX were: zzwzpkhlturlurjlrlkgxzounhkaxpwchkiyelcavrvkityuwyywpurvekghegzyzcorazgxfbwepamxaghlof

count forward from each of the 2ndX/dot letter to the corresponding 1stX letter, counting both of the letters themselves (e.g. n to z = 13 = m, r to z = 9 = i, etc), gives: mielegpavmewmtvlnhgstkodiwsnelsideweidopeoddeahodnrrtcehngtseovkiooetlywaksnweteitddge
(this should be similar to what mapmaker/shad0 worked out earlier, except maybe theirs would be 0 = A, 1 = B, etc.)

this is "Knowledge protected is knowledge saved, and tempered with insight this knowledge may evolve to wisdom" all mixed up, leading to knowledge.html

note that the 2 strings are mixed up in the same order:

Another angle I intend on looking into. Marzano/Roman Bern (Wes?) = same person this time around? After all, if Wes IS back, who better to hide your identity than as the villian of last reality that no-one has seen in this one?

CK, good spec. There has to be a reason for why we haven't seen Don and Wes. Could Don be wearing the mask of Wes?

But my main question is how do we know to trust Simon/Mystes? How do we know that we aren't being duped by them? Are they just using us to find someone who has "dared" to find out their secrets?
