[PROJECT] More Tales from the Third Planet

Right, so we're all a bit bored of waiting for PXC Stories. While the cards are fun, as is the new site, we all need something to do. So I propose a project.

Everyone loved the original Tales from the Third Planet. Writing it was a great experience, as was seeing our completed work. And personally, I fancy doing some more. If this goes ahead, I'll try my best to organize it along with a few others. (Please no offers for editing help yet).

So, thoughts?

EDIT: It would seem that some people don't actually know what Tales from the Third Planet is. This wiki link should help: http://perplexcitywiki.com/wiki/Book

I hadn't seen these stories before, so thanks for dragging a link up!

I have to say, the story about the gambler making a deal with the devil was very good.

However, my favourite was Coxtin's one, the one which didn't make it into the book, for excessive swearing or something!

Top effort though guys! You should do another one soon, i would even write something if we had until the end of june to submit stuff...i have too much to do at the moment at uni!

Right, I've had quite a positive response on this, so I'll open up for contributions, if anyone has anything they'd like to be published in the book please email them to me at tfe.submissionsSPLATgooglemail.com.

Let's see if we can make this project a reality.

Oh MasterCheese, you fromage-steeped genius! You know what this means don't you?! Collaborative story round two! Very Happy (Scott, we won't make you edit it again unless you like pain).

Oh, Scott won't be editing until maybe later. One of the main reasons I started this was my extreme boredom Razz. I'll gladly edit it.

However, I ph33r the presence of another collaborative story. That could get scary.

(Apologies for the double post, but this needs to be said)

mac_monkey over on the Perplexorum forum made a good point about the criteria for the stories:

The same criteria we had last time: Absolutely anything relating to Earth. Stories, Essays, Codes etc. Just make it reasonable, have a look at the wiki page to see what sort of thing was used before if you want an idea.

If people had VFEs that were never published that they'd like to be put in feel free to send them, I could always have a separate section for those.

I'd also like to point out that now I -am- looking for volunteers for the editing. Email the address saying why you think you'd be a good choice. I mainly just need help with the layout, I've never been great with that sort of thing. Although we may get more stories than anticipated, which could be a problem.

Oh go on! Please? How about if I volunteer to edit a collaborative story? You won't even notice it's there. And I'm sure this one'll make sense.

And, slightly more seriously, if you have a time-limit on submissions then that should prevent too much stuff to cope with.
