Well, since most of us agreed that trying to lure AV was an interesting idea, I posted this as a comment of the Dr.'s You tube acount:

I know that coffee. If someone's stalking you I suggest you leave less trails.
I mean, if AV would be interested in finding you, he would only need to contact someone like me.
Lets see if we can get something out of that.

Hah! Perhaps AngBa could use that to get more info out of him somehow. Like, use the crush to her advantage to pull information out of the guy. Hey, AngBa, maybe you can get the doctor to open up about his work a little by telling him how interested in it you are?
(Note: The entirety of this post should be taken in a tongue-in-cheek nature...although if it ends up as the truth, this strategy still applies.)

We are still chatting about the song (I can't find the lyrics online anywhere without buying the cd - but I think the Dr. might be in the process of doing it now), and I've tried to transcribe them, but there are several words that I can't positivly make out - He has said that he really relates to the song...
(working that angle now, Esteed - I think I've gained his trust, now just to get information!!!...)
ETA: My loose transcription of the song lyrics, I'm open to suggestions here.

Brother Sunshine
We breathe the same (sand?)
Every thing is stillborn
We are moved (glued?) through and through the crowd
My own strums (?) engaging
A say "there's well" (entire line???)
Those streets below waiting for the pain
A wreck, a need (near?)
Brother Sunshine
Tie me to the post
Tie a rope around my feet
We (?) know ways to die (dive?)
In a breast of fire
of fire
of fire...
Just got another one:

and my loose translation again...
Quote:
Com the sea of songs
How the go (grow?) away winds (wins?)
Feeding off the stars
Feeding off the ______ of _____ (Isle of Spade???)
The book of lovely
Butterflied rifts on the sity
Signs of early winter
Track an insect of (off?) the page(??)
Rise the ____ (evan??) has been saved
As the _____ (caustic??) has devoured
As the city from our skin
As our fathers are beheaded
Holy

[16:06] docjpjr: mycroft are you there? [Offline Message (Sat Sep 30 14:26:38 2006)]
[16:07] mycroftxxx42: I'm here now.
[16:17] docjpjr: Hello
[16:17] mycroftxxx42: Afternoon.
[16:17] docjpjr: Can you retrieve the object today?
[16:18] mycroftxxx42: Probably. I am at work right now, but I can probably get it later. Where do you want to leave it?
[16:18] docjpjr: I can leave it at a special place near the cafe you know
[16:19] mycroftxxx42: You could also leave it with one of the people in the cafe - or, if you want to make sure it gets to me, you could leave it with someone who works at another cafe.
[16:19] mycroftxxx42: They kinda know me at Cafe Artiste'.
[16:20] mycroftxxx42: Or should, since I've been going there forever.
[16:20] docjpjr: I can leave it on a place next to the building. I have already made arrangements
[16:20] mycroftxxx42: Ok.
[16:20] mycroftxxx42: Where is this place?
[16:21] docjpjr: I will send you the photo of it to your email
[16:21] docjpjr: do i have your email?
[16:21] mycroftxxx42: squirrelingitawaySPLAT gmail.com
[16:21] docjpjr: ok thank you.
[16:21] docjpjr: What time do you think you might pick it up?
[16:22] mycroftxxx42: Uhmmm.
[16:22] mycroftxxx42: That's a good question.
[16:22] mycroftxxx42: I should be leaving work no later than 6:40 PM.
[16:22] docjpjr: Yes I will have instructions to you by 6pm ok?
[16:22] mycroftxxx42: (I got in fairly late today thanks to Houston air pollution, so I had to ask when we shutting things down here)
[16:23] mycroftxxx42: Perfect.
[16:23] docjpjr: ok thank you. I am glad you are taking this
[16:23] mycroftxxx42: It's not a problem.
[16:24] docjpjr: I will send you instructions at 6. bye
[16:24] mycroftxxx42: Take care.
Figures that this happens on the day where I have the rough equivaluent of a nasty hangover. (Not actually a hangover, just about that painful)

Song lyrics Actually, it turns out there's a free download of the liner notes to the CD at http://jadeleary.com/letterxshop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=11; you don't even need a credit card.
However, something's bitched up with their download setup; on OS X I got a "POSIX error: connection reset by peer" message under Safari, and under Firefox the download hung forever. The partial download contains a corrupted ZIP file missing its end-of-central-directory signature.
I'll muck around with it in a hex editor and see if I can fix it.

I must have given you whatever I have - that's exactly how I feel!!!!! (and it's not a hangover either, allergies I think)

Yeah, I think that's because it's a free dl only if you have previously ordered the CD online - that's exactly what happened to me when I tried earlier...
Lemme know if you get it - I would just like to have the lyrics...
I hope I will be around when myc gets the item (way to be a trooper, feeling crappy) and help!!!!

Honestly, I think it's just broken. I just spent the last half hour plowing through the raw data, and several structures which are supposed to be there in order to uncompress the file are just flat out missing. I can go into more detail and post my notes if someone thinks they can do a better job at reconstructing it, but given that the file is flagged as using a data descriptor but the data descriptor signature isn't there and neither is the central directory header, trying to put this thing back together without knowing the uncompressed file size strikes me as totally futile.
Probably more useful to email whoever admins the online store. Grr.

Ok, mycroftxxx just got the directions from the Doctor, and will be leaving work in about a half hour to go pick up the object.

You will find the object in the bush at the corner of the building. It will be easy to reach. Just under the drain pipe. It is ina black bag.
Thank you for taking it away.

Yeah, gotta give props to Mycroft for soldiering along even when he's under the weather. Very much like your brother, eh, Mycroft? *Cue rimshot* (In case anyone's unaware, Mycroft is the brother of Sherlock Holmes. I was just referencing it.)
That said, if the item is scannable and you're able to, scan that thing in so we can all see. What if the object is a skull? There's been this huge preponderance on skulls and other such imagery...

Yes, myc... Thanks for doing this - we owe you enough beer for a REAL hangover for being a brave soldier!!!!!
I don't know what to expect at all, but am waiting anxiously... I just took more medication though and all it does is make me sleepy - I know you all will work your magic if I can't be here!

Getting Exciting Hi guys, I have just caught up with the events so far and am intrigued to find out more. Things seem to be getting exciting. I have introduced myself to the Dr but he has not replied yet. Looking forward to finding out what the 'object' is.
Sorry for being such a n00b, but I cannot find the #av chatroom. Can someone post an idiots guide to getting connected?
