Okay, I've been doing some probing and here's where my thinking's at. Remember the calls made to Prufrock about the strange happenings in the Barrens, lights and figures? True stuff. I saw it with my own eyes. I couldn't get very close, but something's going on out there. I haven't been able to nail down exactly what - but I do have a pretty good idea who.

I think Marzent might be a front for one of the many "secret" groups I've encountered in the past, although I'm not sure exactly which one and don't have any definitive proof. Possibly some type of ritual activity, but I am sure about one thing - the activity is on or near Marzent property. The most obvious possibilty that comes to my mind is that Marzent is attempting to somehow open a dimensional portal or something like it (just like the Ashram people did 20 years ago). These things run in cycles and I think it would be about ripe. All the property expansions, redevelopment plans, and fencing just aren't sitting well with my gut.

As to my personal issues, I know I need to resolve the matter with Sam, and I've asked Dale if he would intercede in any way he can. Maybe you might do the same? A face to face perhaps.

I'm still staying out of sight most of the time, I want to stay as low key as possible, but I hope to get back into Aglaura perhaps as early as tomorrow night, if Sam will agree to a meeting.

<spec>All right, Wes saying that Marzent is a front for a secret group makes the Mystai the obvious choice. However, Simon is looking for a usurper of forbidden knowledge; maybe Marzent is a different secret group that stole the knowledge of dimensional portals (or whatever) from the Mystai, who guard the secret Da Vinci Code-style, and now Marzent is using it to (perhaps) evil ends.

In this case, I would guess the one who can see both worlds is Wes. Simon is looking for him because he is the key to finding the usurper. When Simon mentions the one who wears the facade of truth, the Devil who speaks the face of God, this would be Marzent (or perhaps Diana) -- Simon's true target.</spec>
