The database was not affected by the hacking, and so the thread addresses should be the same. I've checked a few old links and haven't experienced any problems. Are there particular links that you have found that you believe have been corrputed (for lack of a better term)?

 		One of our fabulous users who is also addicted to the RSS feeds has been working on a replacement, so there's that.

URLs have changed somewhat. Forum views now use the index.php page instead of the (now gone) viewforum.php. Categories are no longer identified in the URL with the ?c= variable and have been converted to forums with higher numbers. I should be able to add redirects into .htaccess to point these old URLs to the new ones, but I probably won't do it until I get home again at the start of next month.

Actually, although the thread IDs stayed the same, and URLs linking to the threads should still be working, links to the (sub)forums on uF will probably not work anymore, because of the different datastructure of this version of phpBB.

 		I only have one questions and I have searched and cannot find this same questions anywhere else...

Unless I am going Foily! , before the rebuild, if I was in a particular forum

e.g.

Forum index » ARG: Perplex City (aka Project Syzygy) » Perplex City: Questions/Meta

and I clicked on "View posts since last visit" then the Search would return only new posts from that forum.

Since the rebuild, given the same scenario, I am shown new posts from the Forum Index down...

Somyquestionsis: Please can this be fixed?

 		"Watch this topic" link missing?
First of all my hat off to Space and anyone else who worked hard to restore the forum so quickly.
I consider myself a junior-junior member here who mostly lurks, but I still felt like someone took my woobie away when the forum was down.

Now a couple differences I think I have noticed since the forums returned:

    1) There used to be a link at the bottom of a topic page (Watch this topic) which you could click to get emails of updates to the topic without having to add a post just to say "I want updates". That appears to be gone now (or maybe I hallucinated it).

    2) The email updates I used to receive contained the actual post. Now the email doesn't contain the new post, just the "There's an update, click this link to see it" link.

Edit0 - My bad. I just found the icon that serves the same purpose. You'd think I coulda seen that in the two weeks prior to typing this post. That covers number 1. So now I just need to look for number 2.

Number 2 is still forthcoming, along with the ability to watch an entire forum for posts. Sorry. :/

Is there a list of "known issues" or "outstanding issues" I could reference before posting?

  • "Merge Threads" (moderator option)
  • "Jump to page..." function for threads that have lots of pages
  • /me functionality
  • Adding [LOCKED] tag to locked topics
  • Showing the rank of moderator in a forum where a user is moderator
  • Forum notifications
  • Private Messages include name
  • Topic notifications include topic text
  • RSS buttons
  • View new posts in this category/forum
  • View recent posts in X time
  • Attachments list
