Spacebass, thank you so much for letting us discuss the game, postive and negative. We ragers are a loyal lot; when we like something, we stick with it. When we critique, we try very hard not to be mean about it--that's not what gaming is about. When we were cut off from our forum, we were like fish out of water!! It still has not been reinstated, and this forum gives us a chance to discuss it. From what I read on other posts, the people here are similar.

I had a couple people email me, and I have been pointing them to this forum--they like puzzles and mysterys also and I hope they find the games here to their liking as I have.

You've done a super job with this site!!

Okay - I have been trying to set up a forum for us, but I am having technical difficulties, so until then...

First, ALL winners need to immediately file a complaint with the California State Attorney General's office, department of consumer affairs and offer to provide a copy any correspondence they received from the attorney or DR staff.
We ALL need to file online now.

Second, I would suggest that winners who have not been paid immediately (and I mean immediately) send an email to either the
Hollywood Reporter or Daily Variety and tell them what is going on with Riddle Productions bouncing checks and not paying out for the winners. You should, somehow, squeeze into their opening paragraph "Emmy Award Nominated internet game company is not paying their game winners." THAT will get an article written. If they have now in fact teamed up with MTV, MTV will not want that kind of publicity and might be willing to front money to get rid of this story.

You can also file a fraud complaint with the I3C - the internet fraud center, the Better Business Bureau and Computer Crime & Intellectual Property Section United States Department of Justice, Federal Trade Commission, National Fraud Information Center, FBI's Internet Fraud Complaint Center, The National Consumer Complaint Center for Internet Fraud, False Advertising and Breached Warranties and/or CCIPS Reporting Internet Crime

Hi Nathan! First, let me say we love the designers (especially you) and your work. That said, it is he company that we are having an issue with. In researching many aspects of this situation, it comes to light that since RP/DR chose to create a game in a sweepstakes format, that the monies promised for prizes SHOULD have been secured in an escrow account before the game was ever even launched.

While I loved the old rage, the new, well, frankly it sux.

But it matters not what RP/DR is trying to accomplish, if they are doing it in the wrong way, it's wrong. Issueing bad checks is illegal. Not paying winners is wrong, lying to them about it is even more wrong.

At least you know you will have a great resume in the future Smile

Unfortunately, you might need it.

Nathan,

As always your designs are wonderful.

Game still sucks and I won't play it just because I like the artwork.

Time is the most valuable commodity we have, I certainly won't be wasting it on this new format.

The games aren't the biggest problem. A good site can host games and people will play WITHOUT prizes.

Why promise prizes that they cannot afford to give? That's fraud.

Instead, they should be honest and just announce best scores for the day (not sweepstakes winners). And take away any mention of $$$.

As for the different winners lists.....smells fishy.

I don't go to the site cause it takes up a lot of bandwidth (everything else on my computer runs slow) even on cable modem.
