Great News and Bad News

I have some good, no make that great, news to share with you. As I'm typing this I'm looking over at Meaghan sleeping in her bed. Thank God Keith was true to his word and brought her back to me last night. I was so busy hugging her and wiping the tears from my eyes when I first saw her that Keith I said barely a word to each other. He was anxious to get out of there, understandably, but I did have time to say \"Thank You\" before he left. I know that having the police looking for him had him spooked, and meeting at the spot where Brad was killed probably didn't help either.

Once he was gone, Wes came out of the woods where he was hiding and watching, and I'd swear the old guy had some tears in his eyes too. Or at least it looked that way when I pointed the flashlight at him briefly when he walked towards us. We waited a few minutes before leaving the Barrens and heading home, just to give Keith time to get out of the area and in case anyone happened to see us.

I know I should but I haven't called the police yet and told them Meg is home. I want to hold her and look at her a little longer before I have Dawn and other police here at the house, asking all of us questions and all that stuff. Besides, I think maybe I want to keep this quiet until we do what we have to do.

Now for the bad news. A few people have told me that they think Sam is wrapped up in this Turing Principle thing somehow, and a few have even suggested she's not even human. And I thought I was crazy. Seriously though, they sent me some pretty interesting bits of \"proof\" that I haven't had time to digest yet, but on top of the fact that we haven't been able to find or get a hold of her, it's starting to look very strange. And that's not the worst part.

Meaghan told me last night, before she passed out exhausted, that she had given the sixth mask, the mask of Man, to Sam. I didn't get all the details but it seems Sam came to Meg and asked for the mask a short while ago, and told her no one would be safe unless Sam protected it for her.

So, if there's any chance that Sam is involved with Turing Principle and she also has the mask, we could all be in serious trouble. Remember what I said before about Wes's theories about Turing Principle being behind Marzent and everything that's going on? That would mean the very people we've been trying to keep the masks away from now have at least one, and that can't be good.

That's why we've decided to do this right away, as soon as we can. I don't think we have time to wait any longer, and neither does Wes. despite Bruce being so messed up about Diana's death, we're pretty sure he may have remembered something that could help us and I'm just waiting for him to wake up to go farther with it. He was up late writing about Diana's death, so I hope he got some resolution or at least relief from it.

Wes has gone to see if he can track down Sam, so once we solidify our intentions, I'll fill you in a bit more.
