For what it's worth, doing a google search on "sammeeeees" turns up two classified ads for "Tin Hats custom-made" placed on September 25th.

One in The Village Voice

and one at Univision.

It's too early to know if these are related, but the date and the unlikely overlap of 'sammeeeees' makes me wonder..

EDIT: actually, doing a search just for 'sammeeeee' turns up quite a bit of random stuff. Who knew?

Is that foil that the boxes were wrapped in? That would fit in the ads that danteIL found. Tin foil hats suggest paranoia. Hmm. I'm definitely intrigued by this one.

edit: Googling for the words "a recent study by Louisiana state university has found that the extreme" turns up a lot of hits for dietary research, as well as a few about microbial and bacterium studies that appear to be related to the search for life on other planets.

The capital letters on the last 4 notes spell out C-A-L-L, btw.
