E-mail from Dale, what he and Dr. K found, and the # ones

Quote:
Hi Steffeny,
It's been a while again since I wrote, and I do have a lot to fill you in
about. A lot has been happening and it's been hard to keep up with
corresponding with everyone and even remembering whom I have told about what already. I know Sam and Wes may have contacted some of you also and filled you in on some things. So if any of what I tell you is a repeat of earlier messages, I apologize in advance.
Let me start with last weekend. As I'm pretty sure I mentioned to you, Sam and I went out to the Hiking Trails along Aglaura on last Saturday looking to try and find whatever the message on that strange disc may have been pointing us to. Many of the e-mails I received from the people trying to help me pointed out the possibility that there may have been some kind of seventh area not shown on the current map, because of the unusual names used and one "Pleiades" being missing from the "set". Unfortunately, the areas we were trying to explore were badly overgrown and hard to navigate. There were barely any traces of any of the old "historic" trails that are supposedly there. We did notice
signs that some other people may have been looking around or at least passing through the area recently, even though we didn't actually see anyone out there.
We made it over to the eastern side of Aglaura but we didn't nearly get through the entire area out there before it started getting too dark to continue. So we didn't really find anything our first time out there.
On Sunday, I went back out there for a little while by myself. Once again, I really didn't have time to get very far but did cover a little more ground,
still with no success. As I was leaving though I noticed the vague remnants of a trail I had overlooked earlier and marked it so I could explore it better the next time I go back.
Also on Sunday, I went out to the Ash Grove Park location with Dr. Kendra, just to see what is actually there right now. So many people wrote me about the amusement park website "reappearing" that I just had to go out there, despite the fact that Dr. Kendra and I found a cemetery there the last time we went. By now you've probably heard that the amusement park was indeed there again. It's
really hard to describe the feeling I had as we drove up to it, parked, and
started to walk around. Michelle's, Dr. Kendra's, face was wide-eyed in
disbelief as we started to walk around the place. I have to admit that I also was in my own little world, as I stumbled in a daze that was part euphoria for being vindicated in my earlier memories and part excitement at maybe at last finding some answers there.
Dr. Kendra and I barely said two words to each other as we wandered through the small park. For the most part, the other people there seemed to be oblivious to us. And then we stumbled upon the tent of Digitalis, the Fortuneteller I had met there before. As I saw the tent I started to move quickly towards, I think rather rudely leaving Dr. Kendra somewhat behind in my haste. But I couldn't help it, as I was anxious to find him and perhaps get some answers from him.
Unfortunately though he was nowhere to be found, and the contents of his tent seemed to be disturbed, as if someone had been hurriedly sorting through them.
I had a huge sinking feeling in my stomach, growing by the moment, and then I noticed the symbol from the "dead eyed" ones painted crudely on the wall of the tent, the same symbol that was showing up as graffiti around Aglaura for quite a while. By that time Dr. Kendra was in the tent with me but we both left since there was obviously nothing else to find within.
As we exited, I noticed a few men in dark suits standing not far away and
obviously watching Digitalis' tent. As we emerged they began to gesture and move towards us. Although I wasn't close enough to be certain, I was positive that these were some of the "numbered ones" and that they certainly were coming directly for us. And so I grabbed Dr. Kendra's hand and ran, as fast as we could to the parking area. We made it to the car and left without looking back.
Afterwards, we drove for a while without saying a word. We were both somewhat in shock I guess. We stopped briefly at a diner to catch our breath and talked vaguely and quietly about what just happened, but neither of us were obviously ready to deal with and discuss it yet. I promised to call her in a day or two.
I'm sure you also probably know about me receiving the subpoena for the Marzano Investigation. I still have no idea how I am going to truthfully testify about what I know about the Marzano's. I honestly don't know anything about any improprieties regarding their involvement with the Library project here in Aglaura. All that was going on at a time not long after I first got involved with local government here. And although I have to admit to knowing there was more to the Marzano's operations then just their legitimate fronts, I was in no position at that time to say anything about it due to my involvement with them in other matters. But they never approached me to do anything for them here in Aglaura and, as far as I know, they were legitimately awarded the Library renovation contract. I probably really shouldn't say too much more about it
because of the impending testimony.
Wow, I didn't realize how much I had to cover. But I have some other things to do also. So I'm going to wrap this message up for now but I will send another one tomorrow and bring you up-to-date on everything else that has happened.

Thanks again for all your help and faith in me. I will be in touch.

Dale

Looks like the graffitti is a symbol og the "dead eye guys."
