Um, school. I can't help it. Most businesses are still run by the generation before Google. They don't get it. I'd come in when I'm home, but I tend to be asleep when Derk is on.

Bumping to let you know:

I will be in the chat room over the weekend (both Saturday and Sunday). Today is really bad for me because of work and some plans that I have for later tonight, but I will definitely be in then.

I hope to see you then.

I emailed him asking him when he could next make it since we missed him.

I will be posting something later this afternoon (my time) on my blog about
an item Mr. Monroe has spoken to me about called the "Ramaldi Crystal". I
will talk more about it in the post, but according to Mr. Monroe, this is
the item that "The Nine Angels" have been looking for (and probably found)
and also what Mr. Monroe believes is what got the Mathers killed.

-Derk Tollin

Got the email at 5:30 this morning, EST.

Bumping with new info:

Ok so derk popped on for a chat. He pointed out that the numbers we have could be coordinates and that he had noticed that each group of 6 numbers was always either odd or even sets of 3.

i.e.

Quote:
02 22 24 Odd
33 09 21 Odd
26 80 46 Even
79 93 53 Odd
60 24 48 Even
88 88 36 Even
14 66 38 Even
27 01 21 Odd
58 56 44 Even
33 55 77 Odd
22 58 36 Even
54 68 12 Even
36 36 44 Even
39 67 83 Odd
02 04 68 Even
43 67 77 Odd
17 29 33 Odd
38 62 10 Even
(set 1 of 30)

Now I have done the obvious and converted this into binary which gives either:

001011101011101001 or 110100010100010110

However this translates to rubbish... although its 2 am so brain shut down ages ago. Derk is gonna be online again tomorrow at 15:00 GMT.

The log can be found below:

Quote:
[00:18] Derk: Hello.
[00:18] Paradox: We haven't met as of yet, but I'm a new Team Tollin recruit.
[00:18] Derk: Glad to meet you, Paradox.
[00:18] Derk: How are things?

[00:18] Paradox: Likewise, good sir.
[00:19] Derk: Good.
[00:19] Paradox: Things are good, I suppose... How about yourself? How do you feel today?
[00:19] Derk: I feel okay, considering I've spent most of the day trying to figure out some numbers that other "TT" members have found.
[00:20] Derk: My brain is a little fried, to say the least.

[00:20] Paradox: We've been cracking on those, of course. Do you have any clues about their significance?
[00:21] Derk: I've shown them to Mr. Monroe. He has given me some insight into what their purpose could be.
[00:22] Derk: He said that they are probably coordinates of some kind.
[00:22] Derk: Or possibly a portion of coordinates (given the posts on the site mentioning things being given "over time").

[00:22] Paradox: Interesting... Do you think they might be related to the 7 pointed star you've been seeing?
[00:23] Derk: That would make sense.
[00:23] Paradox: Let me see if I can wake a couple people up, as they're probably more qualified to ask you the proper questions.
[00:24] Paradox: Russell Jot[a]con JustLurking D
[00:24] Derk: Given that it looks like something that would need to be decoded, and it would need to be decoded by the other members of the "Nine Angels", it would probably be related to something that they are familiar with.
[00:24] Paradox: Interesting. What do you think the coordinates relate to? is it an actual object? perhaps the location of the ramaldi crystal?
[00:25] Derk: Mr. Monroe thinks that they are the coordinates to the location of the "second coming", where the other members are supposed to meet in order to use the crystal.
[00:26] Paradox: Ahh, so it's location specific...
[00:26] Derk: Could be.
[00:27] Derk: It's what makes sense to us at this point in time.

[00:27] Paradox: I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but is it possible for your crack investigation team to get in touch with Mr. Monroe themselves, only because you're a tad difficult to get a hold of sometimes?
[00:28] Paradox: (which is understandable. we just want to help you as much and as quickly as possible)
[00:28] Derk: I will ask him if he wouldn't mind me handing out his phone number. But I know that he is planning on putting up a site for everyone soon. He should have some contact information on there.
[00:29] Paradox: Excellent... can't wait for it.
[00:29] Derk: I've only talked to him on the phone, so I don't have an e-mail for him. I'll ask him for that in the morning... see if I can't get one for you guys.
[00:29] Paradox: Have you been having the dreams alot lately? are there any new developments? I'm a little behind on everything...
[00:30] Derk: Nothing new as of yet. I'm hoping to get this code cracked soon. To keep the Mathers out of my head, if nothing at all.
[00:31] Derk: They have left me a lone the past 4 or 5 nights... I'd kinda like to keep it that way.
[00:31] Derk: alone*
[00:32] Derk: Oh, almost forgot... Mr. Monroe said that "The Nine Angels of New York State" used to have another site... might want to start looking for that one. See if there is anything on it.

[00:33] Paradox: I'm on it~
[00:33] * Derk looks through his notes for anything else that might be new. Lots of phone calls talking about the same things.
[00:34] Paradox: would the nine angels host their NY site on blog spot as well? I don't really know the best resources to find things of this sort...
[00:36] Derk: The problem is that the other members of the "Nine Angels" would probably already know the location of the old site. However, if they have forgotten it, there would probably be a way for them to find it again.
[00:38] Derk: That could possibly be what the codes that were found could be for. But, I'm sticking with Mr. Monroe and his explination for them on this one.

[00:39] Paradox: well I'll make sure to tell Delusional to pry around and see what he can find - he appears to be best suited to communicate with these 'people'.
[00:39] Paradox: Other than that, is there anything I can help you with as a lowly simpleton, derk?
[00:40] Derk: Calling yourself a "simpleton" reminds me of myself when I would first saw these kinds of codes a year ago.
[00:40] * Derk is tired... can you tell?
[00:41] Derk: I speak better then I type... promise.
[00:42] Derk: But, to answer your question, being an individual (or giving out individual tasks) never seemed to accomplish much in my experience. It's only by working as a team that we will be able to get through this.

[00:44] Paradox: I just wish there was more of a team to discuss a solution here... I feel terribly unqualified to be chatting with you 1 on 1 on anything more than a friendly interpersonal level :/
[00:45] Paradox: Would you mind sticking around for 5 minutes
[00:45] Paradox: ?
[00:45] Paradox: Parents are calling
[00:45] Derk: Not at all.
[00:45] Derk: I'll work on that code while you are gone.

[00:50] Paradox: Back. (the nagging was minimal. No, not dating, not engaged, yes I'm working, yes, I'm eating enough, yes I'm dressing nicely.)
[00:51] Derk: Sounds like my conversations with Alison.
[00:52] Jot[a]con: Derk
[00:52] Derk: Jot.
[00:52] Jot[a]con: I was asleep, and my computer kept beeping, and it was annoying me, so I wake up, and I find you
[00:52] Derk: Quick question... what have you guys figured out about the code so far? I'm trying to narrow down my possibilities.
[00:52] Derk: sry.

[00:53] Jot[a]con: I'm still asleep, so I wouldn't really know.
[00:53] Jot[a]con: Delusional
[00:53] Jot[a]con: JustLurking
[00:53] Jot[a]con: Russell
[00:54] Derk: Paradox tried that already.
[00:54] Paradox: But to no avail...
[00:54] Paradox: Jot, have you been logging?
[00:54] Jot[a]con: Oh well. I thought I'd try
[00:54] Jot[a]con: Yeah
[00:54] Jot[a]con: I log all the time
[00:54] Paradox: Cuz I gotta run... Just in case my computer crashes into a bloody oblivion, yanno...
[00:55] Derk: I should get here ealier tomorrow.
[00:55] Paradox: Thai food and plum wine with the homies, leading to a late night decoding Derk's discovered parameters and finding a 9angels site :/
[00:55] Derk: right... and I can't spell. Smile
[00:56] Jot[a]con: Hold on a second. Lemme check and see what we have for info on the code
[00:56] Derk: k
[00:56] Paradox: Take it easy fellers... and do keep me posted on any developments.
[00:57] Derk: nice to meet you Paradox... night.
[00:57] Paradox: g'nite
[00:57] *** Paradox is now known as Paradoxless.
[01:01] Jot[a]con: Each set has exactly 108 numbers in it which is exactly divisible by 9 (the Number of angels) coincidence or ....
[01:01] Jot[a]con: Have tried taking each ninth number and seeing what it gets me but not seeing anything at the moment. Have also tried reorganising the numbers into a 9x12 block but again nothing. The fact that the third set is arranged with different spacing would suggest to me that maybe the 6 numbers together is important. Anyway throwing it all on the forum in the hope that the Idea will hit someone.
[01:02] Jot[a]con: And someone else mentioned post codes
[01:02] Derk: Hmmm...
[01:03] Derk: Is the above the only thing that has been tried to crack the code?

[01:04] Jot[a]con: As of now, yeah. I think everyone's been kind of frazzled lately.
[01:04] Derk: Ah.
[01:04] Jot[a]con: Yeah, I know ^^;; We're not as awesome as we used to be
[01:04] Derk: You're still awesome in my book.
[01:05] Jot[a]con: ^^;;
[01:05] Jot[a]con: Thanks
[01:05] Derk: If I figure it out before you guys... well... I'll take the crown.
[01:05] Jot[a]con: At this rate, I bet you will figure it out before us XD
[01:06] Derk: But it will be because of your efforts that I'll be able to figure it out (since I'll know what you guys and gals have tried). So, I'll share the crown, I guess.
[01:06] Jot[a]con: Sounds fair enough Smile
[01:06] Jot[a]con: I'm not eally sure. My only idea was that each pair on numbers corresponded to a letter
[01:06] Jot[a]con: 01 = A
[01:06] Jot[a]con: 02 = B
[01:06] Jot[a]con: Etc.
[01:07] Jot[a]con: But, there are bigger numbers in there than 26
[01:07] Derk: Yeah, thought that, too.
[01:07] Derk: These people don't strike me as the "genious" type, so I may be looking at it more then I should be.

[01:07] Jot[a]con: That was really my only idea for the moment
[01:08] Russell: good god its derk
[01:08] Jot[a]con: Yeah. We're probably just overlooking this too much
[01:08] Jot[a]con: Yay! Russell!
[01:08] Derk: Russell!
[01:36] Derk: I noticed something about the puzzle that may or may not be important.
[01:37] Derk: And as soon as I had it, it's gone again... hold on.. let me look at it again so my brain will catch up with me.

[01:38] Jot[a]con: Alrighty
[01:39] Derk: Oh, now I know what it was...
[01:39] Derk: Now if I can find the words to put what I am seeing in a context that is easy to understand. Smile

[01:40] Russell: back again, good god that films nasty
[01:40] Derk: What I noticed was that the first two set are like the 3rd one, only spread apart.
[01:40] Derk: Smile

[01:41] Russell: ok reading everything and catching up
[01:41] Derk: Not too much to read. Smile
[01:42] Derk: Like, the first three number of the 1st set are all even numbers... 02,22,24.
[01:42] Derk: The first 3 numbers of the 2nd set are even... 22,68,80
[01:43] Derk: The first set of numbers, if broken into sets of two, follow the same pattern, but are odd numbers... 01,33,67
[01:43] Derk: of the 3rd set, I mean.

[01:43] Jot[a]con: Alright...
[01:44] Derk: All the sets in the 3rd set have 3 sets of 2-digit numbers that are either even or odd.
[01:44] Derk: in each set.

[01:48] Derk: Basically, if you took the first two sets and made them look like the 3rd set, they would follow the same pattern as the 3rd set (having 3 sets of 2-digit numbers that are all either even or odd).
[01:48] Russell: yeah i might be onto something hang on
[01:50] Derk: That is what I noticed about them... what it means? I dunno. But, that's what I've been working on these past few days.
[01:50] Russell: well i hadnt even noticed ><talk><
[01:52] Derk: Besides the fact that I'm not dead? yeah.
[01:53] Russell: :-Z
[01:54] Derk: Ofcourse, I could have it backwords and the 3rd one needs to look like the first two sets.
[01:54] Derk: backwards*
[01:54] Derk: My brain is fried from doing this and Sudoku all day.

[01:54] Russell: hehe
[01:55] Russell: well i thought i was onto something but it didnt work >< so back to the drawing board
[01:56] Russell: so that philip guy, has he let you know yet the address of the website?
[01:56] Derk: Nope. He's still doing a little bit more in the researching department.
[01:57] Russell: kk where did you find out about him?
[01:57] Derk: Making sure his facts are all straight before putting them out there.
[01:57] Derk: Through the neighbors.
[01:57] Derk: One of my neighbors, about 4 houses down from me, used him to investigate their home a few years ago.
[01:59] Derk: He had his stuff on the internet, but took it down about 2 years ago when he got sick of people getting on his site and basically shooting down everything that he was putting up.

[01:59] Russell: why what happened at their house?
[02:00] Derk: Bad wiring was causing them to hallucinate.
[02:00] Russell: good god lol
[02:01] Derk: They thought that their house was haunted, but it was just a really high EMF, which is really dangerous if not taken care of.
[02:01] Russell: good job they did get someone round, could have been nasty
[02:02] Derk: It's also good because it tells me that Mr. Monroe isn't just in it to say "You have a ghost"... he really looks into things before jumping to any conclusions.
[02:04] Derk: Well, it's passed my bed time... I'll be here bright and early tomorrow... like 10am my time.
[02:04] Derk: On my days off.. that's bright and early for me.

[02:05] Russell: what time is it your time now?
[02:05] Derk: 9pm
[02:05] Derk: a little after

[02:05] Russell: ok am off to a restaurant tomorrow afternoon but will get one of the other guys to stick around =)
[02:06] Derk: okay... talk to you, or someone else, tomorrow... c-ya later.
[02:06] Russell: cya derk pleasent dreams

[15:26] Derk: Guess I'll try to catch you guys later then. Smile be back in a little while.

Shame the new site is geocities, i hate trawling through their sources and its always nicer to have a slightly more polished look, ho hum.

Plus is it just me or does the link "Haunting Past" not work...

* Edit -

More chat from derk:

Quote:
[16:06] Russell: heya derk
[16:06] Derk: Hey, Russell.
[16:06] Derk: Glad I caught someone this time around. Smile
[16:07] Russell: hehe missed me by 10 mins
[16:07] Derk: I had a "visitor" last night.
[16:08] Derk: Maybe you, or someone else, can make some sense of this stuff. Because I have no idea what it means.
[16:08] Russell: hit me with it
[16:08] Derk: Mr. Mathers showed me 3 images: 1) Julia Roberts, 2) The "Mona Lisa" and, 3) Flowers.
[16:09] Russell: riiiight....
[16:09] Derk: My thoughts exactly.
[16:09] Russell: any particular type of flowers?
[16:09] Derk: I have absolutely no idea what it means.
[16:09] Derk: Daisies, I think. I'm not much of a flower person.
[16:10] Derk: Could have been Sunflowers, now that I think about it.
[16:10] Russell: were they in sequence these images?
[16:10] Derk: Yes.
[16:10] Russell: ok well it could be some sort of rebus then
[16:11] Derk: If they are connected somehow, I know that Julia Roberts was in a movie called "Mona Lisa Smile". But, I haven't seen it.
[16:11] Russell: me neither ><16><16><really><
[17:11] Jot[a]con: Okay, I'll try. Work didn't exactly unfry my brain XD
[17:11] Derk: Nor am I helping myself much. Smile
[17:11] Jot[a]con: What do you need help with exactly? Working on that code?
[17:11] Derk: yes
[17:12] Jot[a]con: Alrighty. What do we have so far?
[17:12] Derk: and what the dream I had last night would have to do with it, if anything.
[17:12] Jot[a]con: New dream?
[17:12] Derk: I'll need to post about that, probably, huh?
[17:12] Jot[a]con: Yeah
[17:12] Jot[a]con: I just checked, and nothing
[17:12] Jot[a]con: You might be lying Wink
[17:13] Derk: In short, it was pointing to "paint by numbers".
[17:13] Jot[a]con: Alrighty...well...uhm...
[17:13] Jot[a]con: 1 = blue? I dunno? XD
[17:14] Russell: i tried converting the numbers into colours but it seems a little advanced for them ><
[17:14] Derk: Yeah... "Paint by Numbers" seems right up their ally, as far as smarts go.
[17:14] Russell: let me see if their is a standardised colour to number
[17:14] Jot[a]con: Alright. Do that, Russ.
[17:15] Jot[a]con: I don't know how colors would help though, unless we take the first letter of each color to spell a message?
[17:16] Derk: Man, if I was ever going to make a puzzle, you guys have some good ideas.
[17:16] Jot[a]con: ^^;; We do a lot of puzzles, Derk. A lot of puzzle.
[17:16] Jot[a]con: *puzzles
[17:17] Derk: Looks like it.
[17:17] Jot[a]con: We're also just insane, but that usually works in our favor
[17:17] Derk: Smile
[17:17] Russell: hehe
[17:17] Russell: yeah insanity runs big time in my family
[17:18] Russell: got a friend coming to give us a hand or at least join us in our general idiocy =)
[17:19] Derk: cool
[17:22] Derk: copied the sets from the source to my Word program for ease of use.
[17:22] Russell: hehe me too
[17:23] Derk: Okay, so if we do the same to 1 and 3 that you did to 2, we end up with the following:

<17> - <PhilMonroe> Hello
<17> - * Derk (~derktolli@642f304.26d9672f.res.rr.com) has joined #avelon
<17> - <Derk> Hey, Phil. You're here as promised.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Ofcourse.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Did you try what I suggested?
<17> - <Derk> Yep.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> And?
<17> - <Derk> Nothing.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> ?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Try again later, then. It could be the weather.
<17> - <Derk> Okay.
<17> - <KSG> Whoah.
<17> - <KSG> Derk!
<17> - <KSG> Hi.
<17> - <Derk> Hello.
<17> - <KSG> 'Sup?
<17> - <Derk> Nothing much. U? Oh, KSG, this is Phil Monroe. Phil... KSG.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Hello, KSG.
<17> - <KSG> Hi Phil.
<17> - <Derk> KSG was one of the folks that helped me out last year.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Ah.
<17> - <Derk> I thought I'd bring Phil in here for a little chat time.
<17> - <Derk> :)
<17> - <PhilMonroe> I was here last night.
<17> - <Derk> Oh. Well, a little time with us BOTH then.
<17> - <KSG> That's cool.
<17> - <KSG> It's always nice to meet friends of Derk's.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Same.
<17> - <Derk> Phil doesn't talk much.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Hmph.
<17> - <KSG> haha
<17> - <Derk> So, what's new KSG?
<17> - <KSG> Nothing on my end. :\
<17> - <KSG> I need you and your weird haunted back yard to keep me entertained.
<17> - <KSG> How's the weird haunted back yard, by the way?
<17> - <Derk> It's there.
<17> - <Derk> I'm adjusting, you could say.
<17> - <KSG> Getting over the weirdness?
<17> - <Derk> Not really.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Never mind the blood certain to be on the ground.
<17> - <Derk> Thanks for the reminder.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> np.
<17> - <KSG> ...Lovely.
<17> - <Derk> Have you heard anything about progress on the code from anyone lately?
<17> - <Derk> We are over here scratching our heads atm.
<17> - <KSG> It's been a couple days since I've been in here. We were stuck then. I don't know about now.
<17> - <Derk> Okay.. well, I've posted whatever updates I could think of on my blog today. That should help a little bit.
<17> - <KSG> I'll take another stab at it later tonight then. No promises, though.
<17> - <Derk> I know that not everyone can me in this room at the same time, so I think I'll be posting updates as they come in.
<17> - <Derk> be* (not me)
<17> - <KSG> That's a good idea.
<17> - <Derk> I'm pretty sure that not everything is getting to you guys, as far as what is said in this room is concerned, so this will be the best way to do that (make sure everyone gets everything).
<17> - <KSG> Yeah. We try to keep eachother up to date, but it's not flawless.
<17> - <Derk> I understand.
<17> - <Derk> My memory doesn't help things much, either.
<17> - <KSG> And I for one am guilty of skipping through chat logs when they're shown to me. Chat isn't very fun when I'm not in it....
<17> - <KSG> Yeah, we're all doomed. :(
<17> - <Derk> Well, hopefully it's only for a little while.
<17> - <Derk> The meds are helping a little bit.
<17> - <KSG> Good to hear it.
<17> - <Derk> Although, they do make me sleepy, which is why I haven't been in here as much as I'd like to.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> That reminds me: How are the Mathers?
<17> - <KSG> In that case, I'll forgive you. :)
<17> - <Derk> Gone. And I'd like to keep it that way.
<17> - <Derk> :) thanks.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Well, don't get your hopes up. I'm sure they will be around if they think you need a little boost.
<17> - <Derk> True.
<17> - <KSG> You make such optimistic friends, Derk.
<17> - <Derk> I know.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Hmph.
<17> - <KSG> Sorry, it wasn't an insult.
<17> - <KSG> I'm a cynic, too.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Didn't take it as one.
<17> - <KSG> Okay, good.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> I've become more of a realist as I've gotten older.
<17> - <KSG> I'm not sure if it said on your blog why the Mathers stopped. Do you know?
<17> - * House (~tychoknif@10eff834.a34b1a3.pltn13.pacbell.net) has joined #avelon
<17> - <Derk> Who?
<17> - <Derk> I don't.
<17> - <KSG> Yeah, you.
<17> - <KSG> Hi again, House.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> They seem to come around when one of two things occur: 1) Derk isn't making any progress or, 2) They feel the need to show Derk a piece of the story.
<17> - <KSG> So they just show up to prod him whenever he gets too comfortable, basically?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> That could be another reason to show up: To make sure that he knows that they are still around.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> As a reminder of sorts.
<17> - <Derk> Maybe they are more aware of my memory problems then I had originally thought.
<17> - * Boss (~Paradox@355d5b65.3ae158ff.fl.comcast.net) Quit (Quit: Boss)
<17> - <PhilMonroe> I highly doubt that.
<17> - * House (~tychoknif@10eff834.a34b1a3.pltn13.pacbell.net) Quit (Ping timeout: 180 seconds)
<17> - <KSG> I don't think his memory is quite that bad yet.
<17> - <KSG> Losing someone's email is one thing.
<17> - <KSG> Forgetting that dead serial killers are appearing in your dreams is another.
<17> - <Derk> Which I found, btw. :)
<17> - <KSG> Good. :)
<17> - <PhilMonroe> I wouldn't put Mr. Mathers in the "serial killer" catagory.
<17> - <KSG> Right, my mistake.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> The "Nine Angels of New York State"? Yes. Mr. Mathers, no.
<17> - <KSG> Too many horror movies and not enough careful blog-reading.
<17> - <Derk> Ha.
<17> - <Derk> Not to mention that Phil has me doing "exercises" to get the Mathers to come to me more often.
<17> - <Derk> He says I'm not "in tune" yet.
<17> - <KSG> Exercises?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Focusing Exercises.
<17> - <KSG> And to get them more often, not, say, less?
<17> - <KSG> How do they work?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> They allow an individual to control in communication. When it happens, how long it lasts, how far it can go.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Without these exercises someone with Derks "ability" could become open enough to allow an evil spirit to take over his body.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> If you can't control who is coming in, then that gets dangerous.
<17> - <KSG> Ability? So they picked him because they couldn't just appear to anyone?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Yes and no. We all have the ability to communicate with the "other side". Certain events, however, impact how that part of our brain works.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Think of the brain as a receiver and the entities as a radio signal. Some people have the ability to get a clearer signal then others.
<17> - <KSG> Events like being trapped in an ARM?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Correct.
<17> - <KSG> So in a way, we're out to rescue him from the ARM again...nice.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Since I don't know how open Derk is at the moment, I am having him do exercises as a precaution.
<17> - <KSG> I understand now.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Plus, instead of the Mathers/Derk visits being "one sided", Derk should be able to communicate with them when they do show up, with enough practice.
<17> - <Derk> I don't fully understand it myself. But, whatever works, I suppose.
<17> - <KSG> Maybe you can ask him to solve that code....
<17> - <KSG> So when Derk is up to asking him questions, what will they be?
<17> - <Derk> He seems to have a pretty good grasp on the solution. Could be something he's seen before.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Well, they will be confirmation questions first.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> I have ideas of who is what and possible connections, but not anything really concrete.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> These communications should help solidify any of my current assumptions.
<17> - <KSG> Makes sense.
<17> - <KSG> And once you've confirmed everything?
<17> - <KSG> Or failed to?
<17> - <PhilMonroe> We'll cross that road when we get to it.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Right now I am worried about getting Derk ready for something that he may not be ready for.
<17> - <KSG> Ah.
<17> - <KSG> If you put it that way....
<17> - <KSG> Derk, try really, really hard to do everything Phil says.
<17> - * Derk puts his fingers in his dimples and twists them.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> Derk is really good about being open to things.
<17> - <Derk> I'm a sucker for punishment.
<17> - <PhilMonroe> :)
<18> - <PhilMonroe> It's for your safety.
<18> - <Derk> I know.
<18> - <Derk> I don't want to know.. but I know.
<18> - <KSG> He seems to attract trouble, too....
<18> - <KSG> You do want to know. It's motivating.
<18> - <Derk> But I also attract those who attack trouble, so it all evens out.
<18> - <KSG> That works.
<18> - <Derk> Well, I gotta run. My body won't stay up past 9pm or it gets mad at me.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> Okay. We'll talk tomorrow.
<18> - <Derk> Alright.
<18> - <Derk> It was nice seeing you again, KSG.
<18> - <KSG> Later, Derk.
<18> - <KSG> You too.
<18> - <Derk> later.
<18> - * Derk (~derktolli@642f304.26d9672f.res.rr.com) Quit (Quit: )
<18> - <KSG> If it's bedtime there, it's dinner time here.
<18> - <KSG> That explains the whole hunger thing, I guess....
<18> - <KSG> ...Anyway.
<18> - <KSG> Are you sticking around, or do you go to bed on time, too?
<18> - <PhilMonroe> I'm a night person. Comes from doing investigations from 11pm - 3am.
<18> - <KSG> Those are good working hours.
<18> - <KSG> Especially because there are only four of them.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> That is true.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> But there is more hours spent on research, going over evidence, etc.
<18> - <KSG> So it's not all TV-friendly "ghost hunting."
<18> - <PhilMonroe> You need to be sure that the advice that you are giving to people is the correct advice.
<18> - <KSG> And I thought I'd found the perfect carreer...shame.
<18> - <KSG> Yeah, that could be important.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> No. There is a lot of stuff that goes on that they do not show you on TV.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> If they did, you'd never watch it.
<18> - <KSG> I never watch it anyway, but yeah, I see why that gets cut.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> Let's just say that the fine folks at the Library know me by name.
<18> - <KSG> Yup, that's a lot of research.
<18> - * Boss (~Paradox@355d5b65.3ae158ff.fl.comcast.net) has joined #avelon
<18> - <KSG> Half ghost hunting and half historian, then?
<18> - <PhilMonroe> And Scientist.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> About 98% of my cases can be explained as non-paranormal.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> Most paranormal investigators will see things that are out of the norm for them to see and call it paranormal without looking for rational explinations.
<18> - <PhilMonroe> Well, I shouldn't say most.
<18> - <KSG> Just the, um, "enthusiasts"?
<18> - <PhilMonroe> There is a guy that I know who is like that. It ticks me off to no end because he is hurting both the clients and our field.

Color Legend:
Derk, bold blue
Jot, darkblue
KSG, darkblue
PhilMonroe, bold green

After that there's nothing interesting, except that when Phil left, he said he was going to take some readings behind Derk's house.

Ok so the clues we have are paint by numbers and the format of the numbers in the layout derk has given:

Quote:
022224 330921 268046 799353 602448 888836
146638 270121 585644 335577 225836 546812
363644 396783 020468 436777 172933 386210
226880 333157 686204 630157 670309 685432
682832 984206 088832 672365 224422 660624
929886 348866 029852 553367 689832 081062
013367 692537 360468 737709 273549 420618
839715 672349 882646 753517 662492 381264
130719 213907 642834 734933 128264 020684

If we take that and convert it to binary which i have mentioned before (and may still be wrong about) we get something that looks like:

Quote:
010100
010100
010110
010110
000100
000100
110110
110100
110100

There definitely appears to be a pattern in there and i think that we should be able to see the numbers representing something. Now if we expanded that to include a binary number for each set of two we get.

Quote:

000111000111000000
000111000111000000
000111000111111000
000111000111111000
000000000111000000
000000000111000000
111111000111111000
111111000111000000
111111000111000000

I cant see what it is myself but throwing it out there incase someone else sees it. I think whatever we work it out to be we slap a .html on the end and use it as an adress on the older of the two NAoNY sites...

The picture on the page seems to me and my girlfriend like
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
George Washington.
TheYearofMe is either his birth date, when he became President, when he got put on the dollar, the year he died...

It could be any number of things. I've tried 2221732 and February22, which is his birthday.
I also tried 12141799, when he died.
