 DUDE!

OMG!U opened it! Shocked
Can i get some clues? Just try and answer these questions without givin it away bt by givin me a little more headway than PUZZ on the ISIS forum.
1)How in God's name do i get to the stage where i can hear 3 ball bearings?
2)I know i don't need to turn the plunger as PUZZ said so but does it make a difference? Will it hinder my opening of the ball?
3)I've heard some people managed to turn the halves of the ball so that the placenta's are out of alignment by quite a degree and then their ball got stuck, is that a good or bad sign; and
4)Do u know how to reset the ball as i'm not sure to what degree i've opened mine but i'd like to see if re-setting it will help as quite a few people have played around with it.

Thanx alot and once again, WELL DONE! Very Happy

To ensure that I am not going down completely the wrong garden path, can you let me know if the typos in clue 6 are fundemental to solving the puzzle (or just a red herring).

3 typo's in one of the clues? I find that hard to believe... Surely there must be more to it?

Help getting to halfway.....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I can hear the 3 ball bearings (I think) but am struggling to get to the next stage. I assume that it is now just a case of careful manipulation (getting the first 2 ball bearings into place - which you should know you have acheived as you will only by able to depress the plunger slightly).

Although I think I am holding the issis the right way up (Placenta's up) - do I still need to know North? - The reason I ask is that I don't have a compass, and if it is needed I am slightly stuffed at the moment!

Thanks....

Problemo

Hey ixalon,
I accidentaly dropped my Isis on the floor and the top ring came loose. I pushed it back in, it didn't come off or anything, but i wondered if i'd broken it. Also, it went silent when i pushed in the plunger. I know this is what one of the clues says but i wanted to make sure i'd got one step further as opposed to breaking it. If ya could let me know i'd appreciate it as my dad holds the username and password to the Isis forum so i can't post there. Cheers man!

All ISIS can be solved quicker than you can say "$100"

There was another clue posted by Sonic Warp that mentions "the dominant theory of the creation of the universe". Now that seems pretty straightforward to me, but the Isis is such a lovely object that I'm worried about scratching it. Can anyone confirm if I really do have to hit it, and if so, roughly how hard? e.g. a drop of a few centimetres? More than that? I've heard reports of the blue rings coming off and that's the last thing I want to happen to mine.
