Just follow the clues on how to hold the ISIS.. The clues is all you need..

As far as stopping the plunger; just shake, rattle, and roll BABY while constant pressing the plunger until you got it. It may take a couple of seconds or you may get a red thumb.

Is that the anticlockwise bit? and does it matter which way the plunger faces anymore cos i'm stopping every few secs to turn it around again??? ta

There are different ISIS puzzles. So, I don't know a perfect answer. Just keep pumping the plunger and moving the ISIS until it stops 1/2 way.

You'll know when you have it. Wink

Like I said there are about 5 different ISIS puzzles. And when you see the inside you'll know why it was so tough to find the center.

Relax, you're trying to solve a puzzle blind. Its going to be hard. You'll get it.

Keep pumping that plunger !!!

 Whoa.....
Opened.

Stanners...loved the x-rays.
I read this over and over....
then i bought one.
I got it open in 2 days.
Mine is not the same inside, i do not have the silver key.
Mine might be version Isis 1.1?

But nonetheless it was an extremely aggravating puzzle.
not sure how to do a spoiler, and don't want to give it all away.
But the creation of the universe never worked for me.
Was tempted to add a slightly modified picture of the insides......

now that i got it open i get just how easy it was.
damn.

P.S. mine is the american version, and during registration the serial number was not accetpted by the isisadverture website, now that it's open the number inside was not accepted either.
waiting on the email response for that one now too.

Hi guys, I really need help with my isis.

I have worked out the clues, except for clue 6 which seems wrong some how but I'm sure I have the meaning right. Is there spelling mistakes on clue 6?

Anyway, I've followed the clues to the letter but still no luck. My thumbs were hurting so bad from pushing the plunger that I had to use diff fingers and now they hurt!
Where am I going wrong? I had 3 ball bearings (i think) I've done everything the clues told me to do but IT WILL NOT OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Please help a poor soul like me.

Isis Puzzle - Limited Edition
Last Stages

Not sure what I have, other than the fact the inside "key" is a 10-digit number and not a physical object. I live in the United States and bought an Isis Puzzle - Limited Edition (which gave me a color choice). I received the isis days ago and only now have given it my full attention. Because I don't know what version it is, I have no idea what methods recommended here are relevant to me. One thing though--the 11 clues are exactly the same.

Here's what's happened so far. I oriented the isis due north and depressed the plunger. I could hear the two ball bearings just fine. The placentas were aligned one directly above the other (above and below the middle-most ring). I took the isis firmly in hand and brought it down hard on a padded surface. The isis immediately seemed "different" in my hand somehow, though it looked like nothing on the outside had changed. On closer inspection I discovered that the two placentas were now 180 degrees from each other! Nice, as if the blow had sprung a lock-release.

Now my problem. I've turned the isis upside down (plunger pointing at the floor), taken the isis in my hand, and moved my hand in counter-clockwise circles until I no longer hear the ball bearings. And then NADA! Nothing moves when I turn the upper hemisphere clockwise, whether the plunger is depressed or not. And I'd welcome any suggestions about how to grip the upper hemisphere firmly WHILE depressing the plunger at the same time. Or am I completely on the wrong track here?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions, observations.

OOOOOps
seems i messed up

Late last night, or was it this morning? I got it open.

Then i took a few pics, and put it back together.
Now my wife wanted to see the inside, and during the opening it got stuck 180 degrees.

I mean stuck.
Anyone having opened it please message me with the "other" opening methods you might know of.

I really don't wanna have to pay the $25 and shipping to get it reset.
thanks

Ok I've read a few things about 'placentas' what the hell are they? Symbols on the isis? I don't remember anything about palcenta in the clues, is this something I have to do?

The other thing I'm having a really hard time with is the plunger. It can go all the way down very easily and simetimes I have to put a bit more pressure on it to move it down at all, but once I've put that slight pressure on it, it goes all the way down again. There dosen't seem to be any inbetween. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Sometimes the plunger gets a little too much friction and is hard to push down. Put one drop of 3-in-1 oil between the plunger to help. DO NOT USE MORE THAN ONE DROP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me again.
I think I have a problem.
I've been doing the 11th clue thing for a few days with nothing happning so I tried it on the floor. Well now when I shake the isis I can't hear any ball bearings inside!
This is not meant to happen right?
What have I done?

Placenta
Cartouche

Yes. "Placenta" refers to the cartouche of a circle with 5 equally-spaced horizontal lines within it (circle=Isis, lines=5 bands of Isis?). This placenta cartouche appears once on each of the top 4 bands of my Isis (top being the plunger end).

Bands 2 and 4 have ONLY ONE cartouche on them, and that one cartouche is a placenta. When I received my Isis, bands 2 and 4 had their placentas directly above/below each other. But not now: a good hard strike against a padded surface not only released the third ball bearing, it also rotated bands 2 and 4 so that the placentas of these two bands are now 180 degrees from each other. I thought that was pretty cool until I read a lot of excited posts about moving the placentas apart one centimeter!! Now I don't if my Isis is broken or on its way to being "solved."

By the way, I'm having exactly the same problem with the plunger.

Thanks for that hawkeye0. That placenta thing had me confussed.
Are you also trying to find the 'inbetween' with your plunger then? Its bugging me so much. It goes down all the way or not at all. I just can't get to the halfway stage!
I think I might die of old age before I work this thing out.
