hmm... again i say... hmm...

Does anyone know please what actually happens when you crack the code? Des the Isis just fall apart? Is there a satisfying tune? Do all the seperate segments mysteriously float apart whilst the key rises in a twisting vortex of white smoke? Or does nothing happen?

Also, am i the youngest person to own an Isis?? I am 14 years old.

Thank you very much in advance.

Peace

Magnetic areas

My Isis is magnetic in a number of different areas - is anyone else's? Does anyone know if these magnetic areas need lining up and if so does anyone have any tips as to how I do this?

Hi Darkness, that sounds very similar to mine - I think it sounds like one ball bearing but could easily be two.

bit1313 - thanks for the hint. I think/hope I understand what you are telling me!

yeah, thanks greensocks and bit1313, however i think i have already released the third ball, as different sound, yes? also, i think the third ball is on a different 'level' to the other two...
but im still confused about the whole anticlockwise thing as in my last post...
thanks a lot.

Big spolier:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Having learned in this thread about the "universe" clue (which seems to be mentioned nowhere else on the web at all - including on the ISIS official forum), I managed, by dropping my ISIS about 1 foot onto carpet, after a number of attempts with various orientations, to release the third ball.

Seems like the third ball is held somewhere by a magnet (hence the hieroglyph clues on the cardboard box), and can only be released by a heavy strike.

My plunger immediately went into the "halfway stage" mode, and I almost opened the ISIS!! I got my gold rings rotated about 180 degrees relative to each other.

Very excitedly I continued to fiddle with it until suddenly it CLUNKED, and I realised to my dismay that it was back in the start position with only two audible balls.

Since then I've dropped it, whacked it, etc etc etc to no avail. I'm stuck with two balls only regardless of what I do.

I think I've locked it into an unrecoverable state.

A moderator on the ISIS forum thinks I've simply reset it... but if that's the case - I don't understand why I can't re-release the third ball.

Getting pretty PO'd with it now.

I was really looking forward to this puzzle. I loved the Rubiks cube - it was a "mind" problem... this one seems more a luck problem.... were you lucky enough to buy a puzzle that even works!?!

Maybe I'm completely wrong. Just losing faith right now.
