 Sente email in Firebox Catalogue

Slap me with a wet haddock if it's been mentioned previously and I've missed it in the search, but sente's email address is in the latest Firebox catalogue I received today, alongside the PerplexCity Boardgame - the same way that tippy's was some months back.

Might be a nudge to contact him about ...errr... something? How to get some sleep at night perhaps?? Family advice??
Confused

EDIT: Looks also like the email differs slightly from that on the academy website and the wiki. It's listed simply as senteSPLATperplexcityacademy.com rather than the fuller sente.kiteway

Interesting. Useless probably, but interesting.

Interesting, just checked my copy and can confirm that it is there.

I would be surprised if it were in there just for newbies to e-mail, especially with the link down and all. In fact it's a bit odd to have it there today, when the link has gone down. Hmm.

Could it be some kind of "back door"? Sente could be known for snubbing athourity, and he does have some pretty impressive minds under him...

Or maybe it's a huge typing flub and it means nothing, still worth a try to e-mail, something....

I seemed to have missed out on a new firebox catalogue by a day (my orders had the summer ones in) but I don't think it can be related, I doubt that they would have known dates and everything, but I think its worth a try, can't hurt Wink

Is the link down? I thought that the link was being monitored? We may not get back autoresponses, or maybe we will get something back eventually?

I can still access all the sites, unlike the time the link was downbecause of the 3P.

Did anyone try sente's new email?

That's not a new e-mail address, looked into it when I though his mails went through Patrick Azadian. It was that address that sent out the e-mails about the video in Feb 05. It also notes the autoresponse, which I'm not currently getting.

Perhaps there's a delay introduced by the censorship of the link? Or maybe they receive, but can't send without approval?

Yeah. Forgot to mention that sorry. Here's a copy of the reply - I basically said (paraphrasing) "Bummer about the link. If you need help, I'm sure you'll know how to get in touch with us...."

Bit of a vague mail, but inspiration was low when I sent it last night. Plus everyone likes a good fish now and again eh?

Dear Friend,

Thank you for your email. While I am afraid that I am unable to respond to all
emails personally, I do appreciate the interest that you and the other citizens
of Earth have shown in Perplex City and the Academy.

As has been said elsewhere, Perplex City is very much like your world. We have
both had our share of triumphs and sorrows, but ultimately the greatest
different between our two worlds is in Perplex City's love of puzzles, which
pervades every aspect of our culture.

There's lots going on within Perplex City and perhaps the best way to
investigate it is to dive straight it and begin exploring. With that in mind,
several of the puzzle scribes from the Perplex City Academy have designed an
online mystery for you to investigate. You can find it by clicking the left
box here:

http://www.perplexcityboardgame.com/world.html

Taking part in this mystery trail will not only be challenging and fun, but it
will also give you a tour of some of the websites in Perplex City, where you
can learn more about our world.

Stay sharp,

Sente Kiteway
Master of the Perplex City Academy

Okay have gone through the Board game puzzles twice now.

Given the newspaper issue covers the Earlywine election and 'closure' of the link I was kinda hoping that there may have been some information relevent to us trying to get messages through to PXC. Sadly, if clues are there, I couldn't see any.

Anyway, it has made some of my shift at work more enjoyable if nothing else! lol!
