Dear Steffeny,
The thumping and bumping have really gotten out of hand today. It has been
sounding like a troup of agitated chimps romping over the roof top. So, I tried
your suggestion and put a bowl of beer in the middle of the kitchen table.
Blessed silence ensued and then something rather frightening happened. I
thought, at first, that I was having a hot flash and then, I realized the room
had gotten warm for the first time in months. I looked at the bowl and got a
terrible shock -- a greenish, luminescent fog was rising out of the bowl!
Without thinking, a stuck out my hand to brush it away and snatched it back
from an intense pocket of cold. The fog swirled a bit and got thicker. I ran
out the kitchen door into the sunshine and stood there shaking, taking deep
breaths to get my heart beat back to normal. When I went back to the kitchen
door, I peered in through the window and the fog was gone. Re-entering, I felt
the coldness in the room that I've come to associate with "normal." But, here's
the most horrific part, the beer was gone!

My mind is reeling. I'm not sure I want to experiment farther. Do you suppose
that if I put out a larger bowl, or a wash basin full of beer that these
spirits would take shape, would manifest as physical forms?! Oh my, my, my... I
think I shall wait till the paranormal expert gets here. I mean, it's all very
well having invisible spirits disrupting my life. I have, perhaps, even gotten
used to it; humans are so adaptable. But, visible, green goblins! No, I don't
think I'd ever get used to that phenomenon. No, indeed.

Thank you for your suggestion, however. I am sure the result will be most
interesting to the investigator who's coming.

Sincerely,
Phyllis

Oh, Pam!

Spewed [your] pop! How very unladylike, my dear! I do hope you know I'm
teasing. The printed word just doesn't convey tone of voice, does it?
I'm so
pleased you enjoyed my dialogue with a Doyle. They also uttered this
insane
bird call when the food had all been laid out. All together, they
chirped, "Gweet! Gweet! Gweet!" I was mystified and bemused by this
display
until Patti whispered in my ear, "They mean, go eat." I laughed with
such
delight that Douglas cast a correcting glare at me. As we progressed in
the
line, paper plates in hand, he growled at me, "Why are you so damn
happy?" To
cover myself, I replied, "Darling, can't you tell the difference
between
happiness and hysteria?"

Now, of course, my bubbling excitement over my plans to escape him and
this
town can be covered by the expectation of the arrival of the paranomal
investigator. Her name is Iris and, if you like, you can check out her
web site
at http://www.edgeofsight.com/

I do so hope she can make sense of all the high strangeness that's been
going
on. I'll keep you informed.

Yours,
Phyllis

From the WHOIS data, I'd have to say it's in-game.

The street address and the phone number appear to be bogus.

And while it was created in January, it was updated today.

For those of you with faster connections that move through it too fast: The opening star burst has seven points (can you say faery star? I knew you could...)

Or an Elven Star. Can you say Elven? Confused

Faerie Stars are seven-pointed stars sometimes also called "Elven" stars
