Macavity

Due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e., my Internet connection crashing and not reconnecting), I was unable to send the message yesterday.

This has, however, given me time for a few minor edits - and as per the requests of certain parties over at the Perplexorum who feel that this letter does not represent them or their interests regarding the Earth-Perplex City link, I have removed the phrase "Representing the people of Earth" at the end of the list of signers.

Minor update: I just got a chance to check my email, and I got the standard Sentinel autoresponder (judging by the timestamp, it arrived about a couple minutes after I sent the email).

This means the letter got through in one form or another. Here's hoping . . . !

Earlywine actually writes a very good response. He says he 'should perhaps' apologise (though not for everything, and he doesn't *actually* apologise), and makes some good points (and some not-so-good). He's mostly rational, doesn't distort the letter too much, and appeases the Perplexian ego.
