In the earlier videos it appeared that tCM had access to Erics appartment. He had video of Eric talking on the phone saying something like "Dont worry, no one knows" a few other scenes and a closeup of his fridge.

Someone also mentioned that the items were pretty specific too - 1 ID, 1 Credit card and 1 Debit card.

In the video where he shows the money cards and ID it first says "I will not compromise my artistic integrety ... " (shows cards and cash) "nor will I "sell out" to the highest bidder" IMHO he is showing that he is not interested in the cash or the credit, it is just proof that he has Eric. I doubt they will find that the missing cards have any new charges on them.
If they do, hopefully we get to see tCM's real face.

Welcome to the new players we need all the help we can get.

I know its a whip but please try to re-read the forum here and re-watch the videos in the order that they appeared. It will catch you up to speed.

I just received this response from Michael Taylor:

Quote:
Cortez,

Eric's wallet was not empty when we got it. But because we don't know what's normally in his wallet, we had no idea what items were missing from it. The weird thing is, his license was still in his wallet when we recovered it, so we're really not sure how Sam Deercot got it. Perhaps it was an expired license, or a lost license? We know Eric replaced his license before because we checked with the DMV. He reported it lost. We also checked the credit card and the Washington Mutual card that showed up in the video, but nothing was withdrawn from either account.

The thing is llama, I did watch all the videos, study all the codes and read every post on this thread. That's how I knew something didn't add up.

And I also received this PM from him:

Check the forum - i posted a reply. By the way, your profile name is very disturbing considering the subject of this forum. Is that some kind of a sick joke, or are you trying to tell us something? Maybe you should consider changing it, or at least provide an explanation.

RE: carbondale

Svengoolie / Mnemonic:

i was just making the observation that the ebibletecher.com website was made by someone called Terry Taylor, who is apparently a sunday school teacher at the church of christ in carbondale, IL.

so 2 questions:

1) given the fact that svengoolie goes to school in carbondale, is this all just a massive coincidence?
2) if not, do you think the codemaster might have "targeted" a frequent arg-er (ie svengoolie) by leaving a clue at the church in his town, knowing that he would be keen to walk there to pick it up? he's certainly not afraid of contacting players...

for this to be true, then svengoolie (or someone else that happens to live near carbondale) would have to have made their location available to the codemaster - perhaps in the finderictaylor forum or on youtube? svengoolie's location appears as "chicago" on these forums, but elsewhere maybe?

how big is carbondale? if it is relatively small then this concidence gets bigger. im a very new arg-er so please dont trout me too hard!

neil

I'm not quite sure that the song had more meaning than simply that we have to watch what we say. I think the song was just to warn us that if we say the wrong things on the FindEricTaylor forums we could jeapordize the health of Eric. I could be wrong but drops don't seem to be the CM's style.

What Norristian was right about.

I have found out what it was that Norristian was right about. At the end of 'And you shall see everything' - a title which means we have to look at every frame very closely - during the black section where the clicks appear there is a very faint face. I could only see it by playing frame by frame in Adobe Premiere Pro. It appears at this stage to be the masked face of the kidnapper dancing up and down, but I get a sense there's more to it than that.

I'm in the process of trying to lighten up the image right now.

I will post again when I have got a clear image.

Yes Welcome Mentor! Sorry not to welcome you with my earlier post - very bad manners - am completely caught up in this game tonight, but not a good excuse.

I managed to do a VERY rudimentary clean-up of the section of the video. Apologies for the random colours - it's an artefact of the basic process I used to bring the image out.

To me it looks like the kidnapper in the mask, but it could as easily be a woman's face.

What do you all think? And is this what Norristian was right about?

I'm uploading the video to YouTube now as I'm not certain of how to add it as an attachment here.

Click here to see the face.

On reflection, it seems more to be swaying than dancing. Swaying is an important part of certain bits of the Passover Seder. (And it's not a jester's hat but a beanie.)

Man, I've just been reading through the Wyoming Project thread and that masked face bouncing creeped me out severely.

That code is very frustrating. I want a hint or something.

Have studied the clip over and over. Not sure whether it tells us anything meaningful, though. I did notice that he sways in time to the 6 clicks heard in this section of the video.

Reversing the audio seems to suggest that the original sound on the clicks was reversed for the video, so the next stage is to feed the audio through Nuendo and see if there's anything to be discovered.

Ho hum. Anyone solve those codes at the end of Still Life yet? Wink

the 8:32 could be the bible reference to the book of John which is: "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" this could easily be to throw us off as the rest of the text is ciphered/encoded [I haven't solved this yet, sorry]. My psychoanalysis of codemaster is that he thinks he is God [the ton of religious imagery] and that he holds control over not just Eric but all of us in the game, as I study psychology at college we are on the subject of abnormality and codemaster definatly falls into three of the four definitions of abnormality. Hope i'm correct and have given some insight or flicked on someone's lightbulb.
