I don't know what this means, but Codemaster recently changed the capitalized letters in his blogspot under the "about me" section. The letters now read: phase one

I guess that means that the found clues are indeed correct. I can't wait to see what happens next

Oh, and if you click on the link to view his complete profile, there are a couple of new blogs listed that I am unable to access. It says I need to be invited to view them. They're called "The Anonymous Life" and "The Pale Boy."

oh NICE! How did you find that, Cortez?

While googling, I learned that there are lots of sunflowers in Tuscany. Also in
Tuscany? Pisa, where the Fibonacci statue is. I've been trying to find out if this other statue could be related to Tuscany, but "The Statue of Sinners" gets me nothing. I suspect that may not be the actual name of the state, just a filename for the gospel people.

Cheers Wallaby.

I think you're right about 'The Statue of Sinners' being the title of the pic on their website rather than the name of the statue itself.

I think it's related to Dante's Inferno possibly.

Wow good find!

Perhaps not significant, but I'll just point out some stuff I saw...

The paragraphs beside where the "Statue of Sinners" are found, are adapted from a sermon by Jonathan Edwards, Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, or here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinners_in_the_Hands_of_an_Angry_God

A concise description of the current situation in the mind of the CM, perhaps? And um, are those 2 men screaming, or a man and a woman? *Being reminded of the woman on the sofa that we saw earlier*

Statue of Sinners

I hope I'm not the bringer of bad news because i know it would make more sense to the story, but the female appearing person in the picture is actually a man.

Aside from the female facial features, the arms, chest and ab's are way to muscular for a piece of that time to be a female. Ladies of that era were stay at home mom's and wives who for the most part were chubby and non-athletic. Plus the non-existance of features resembling ummm..."breasts"...lol.

EDIT: Plus the well defined adams apple.

"Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" is a fascinating read-- all about how God abhors you and he could kill you at any time and you're dangling above hell by a string and God's got his sword right there...it's awesome.

Heh, it IS a man! Whoops, Mr. Taylor! Or maybe the Codemaster didn't know either! Wink

On a whim, I asked on the board if Eric had ever been to Italy. Michael Taylor replied-

Quote:
Well, we all took a family vacation to Italy years ago, although I'm not sure how that has any relevance. We visited Florence, Rome, and Venice. It was a nice trip; beautiful cities, wonderful food, although it was hard to speak the language, and we often missed our train stop.

Well spotted Ript..you seem to know your stuff where art is concerned...would you say this was Classical or Renaissance (I'm excluding Medieval because of the unembellished style - hair and beards don't seem like Medieval art to me)?

Have spent pretty much the whole of yesterday and last night googling to find the location and name of this statue with no joy so far. Posted it on the finderictaylor forum to see if Mr Taylor has any recollection of seeing this statue on his trip to Italy.

EDIT: He doesn't recall ever seeing the sculpture.

I think I found the original picture and a bit of background.

I believe this was the original photo
http://europe.mordac.org/index_2002.php

The photographer titles it "sinners in hell" and he lists it as at the Charles Bridge in Prague in the Czech Republic.

"The Charles Bridge is a stone Gothic bridge that connects the Old Town and Malá Strana. Baroque statues (a total of 30) began to be placed on either side of Charles Bridge in the 17th century. Now many of them are copies and the originals can be seen in the Lapidarium."

I dont think this all means to much. I believe its just the imagery he is trying to project.

Im wondering how the # 13 and the list of numbers fit in .....
A date 4/5/2006 6021 or IP address of sorts 1.20.66.000.254 or ....... ?

Also, the earliest victim he listed was 08-19-89 Female S. I wonder if Sue Hart is the first victims identity.

Nice one Llama. I must have walked past that sculpture so many times when I was in Prague and never even noticed it.

Statues of Saints John of Matha, Felix of Valois, and Ivan

Quote:
(sousoší sv. Jana z Mathy, Felixe z Valois a Ivana) The most spacious and expensive sculpture on the bridge, this was designed in 1714 by Ferdinand Brokoff and sponsored by František Josef Thun, the lord of Klášterec nad Ohří. The sculpture was intended to honour the two founders of the Trinitarians, the order that supervised buying back and redeeming of Christians in captivity under non-believers. St. Ivan, the saint patron of Slavs was added to the group for unknown reasons. The base depicts a cave in which three chained Christians are praying to the Lord for salvation.

This statue was commissioned for the Trinitarian order, which rescued Christians from Turkish captivity. In the huge rock is a prison, in front of which there's a dog and Turk with a cat-o'-nine-tails guarding the imprisoned Christians. With money for their freedom, St. John is standing on the summit of the rock. St. Ivan is seated on the left, and St. Felix is loosening the bonds of the prisoners.

I also think you're right about the general symbolism rather than it having any specific meaning. The key to the next bit is finding Sue Hart.

Bizarre coincident-- the Charles Bridge plays a huge role in the game Still Life. Hee!

Very good work, Llama.

Ah... I don't know why this didn't occur to me earlier... too tied up on the "right time" idea. But the numbers could totally be

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

...a phone number: 1-206-600-0254

From wiki:
206: Washington (All of Bainbridge, Mercer, and Vashon Islands, and the cities of Burien, Des Moines, Lake Forest Park, Normandy Park, Seattle, Sea-Tac, Shoreline, and Tukwila and some small unincorporated areas adjacent to these cities, also, parts of the cities of Woodway and Edmonds)

EDIT: And googling "Sue Hart" and Washington gives a phonebook entry in Seattle. Seems a bit too random to be IG though. The phone number's different as well.
