fixavote.com
I really really HOPE this is an ARG...can't be REAL...right?

Somebody sent me this link: http://www.fixavote.com

They also have http://www.guaranteedelections.com that redirects to the first address.

Tell me this is some kind of joke... a few of us are a little concerned about living in a world that offers "guaranteed election results" to companies.

edit: changed topic so people know what they are looking at - Rowan

Well it's obviously a hoax/joke. Nothing in there to indicate it's an ARG though. The Internet is no stranger to weird websites pretending to be real. It could be viral marketing, or maybe a college project. The site itself looks like a template. The message behind this one is: "electronic voting bad".

There's a phone number on there, (800) 807-9147. If there's anything ARGish about this, it will be at the end of that line. Otherwise, nothing to see here.

Quick! Somebody check to see if it's registered to Diebold! Before the elections!

Laughing

Like they said; nothing to say it's an ARG. Interesting, though

all the companies who supply the technology seem legit-

diebold
www.diebold.com

sequoia voting systems
www.sequoiavote.com

ess
www.essvote.com/HTML/global_gateway/home.html

theres even a wikipedia article
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diebold_Election_Systems

seems like it might be a satire site criticizing diebold's support of bush, possibly even theorizing that he might have bribed diebold to rig the elections in ohio in 2004? that was the state that came down to the wire.

oh wow. Diebold is acctually named there. I was joking

I know that they won't be pleased when they find out, considering there's already accusations of election fraud.
