[F!PR][TRAILHEAD] Psychic Readings An anonymous tip... Someone passed me a link to this psychic readings site, without a whole lot of additional info. Something seems odd about the testimonials section of the site....

Darn it grumpyboy, I was in the middle of proofreading my reply and you beat me!
It looks like I finally got in on one of these as it's starting! I'm sending an email to Miss Corinn right now.

I've sent her one too to see what she has to say.

Ok, typo or directive?
mislead by miss corinn
Grammatically, considering the context of the blog, it should be misled. No? So, are they hinting at something more? Is Miss Corinn being used by something/someone to mislead people? Are we supposed to mislead someone or something by sending in testimonials? Am I looking into this too much? Is it just a simple case of bad English?

Let's hope this isn't another YOUR-LIFE situation.

Yes, you're right. Given the content of the first blog post though, I'd guess that it's a simple (but embarassing) mistake. I suppose we'll have to wait and see, though - I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for any misleading that we're supposed to be doing. Nice catch!

Any thoughts on possible clues in the other testimonials? I noticed that there are a lot of Ks in the names. And I'm curious about the first one which says to look in your sock for a lost key.
I emailed Miss Corrin too. Haven't heard anything yet, though.

Following on from imbri's theory on deliberate mistakes I noticed that in the only testimonial without a 'K' (ref: aislyn) in the name I noticed it said:
Quote:
she let me know his poor little hear was safe in the big doghouse in the sky
Doesn't make sense to me but it could just be an editing error -- after all, the site's pretty, well, basic.

I got my reply, and...well, Miss Corinn appears to have done some research on me, which is somewhat creepy. I did hand her my name, and the fact that I was entering college (in fact, my question had to do with things I should be aware of as a freshman), but I never said anything about Esperanto. She probably Googled me, which brings up an old Wikipedia user page with the fact that I was (and still am) trying to learn Esperanto.
Quote:
Hello there, Tyler dear! Congratulations on entering college. Miss Corinn does not see anything in the near future that you should be careful of (except, perhaps a late night at a party when you need to concentrate on that test next week.)
Also, Miss Corinn like to wish you good luck in your endeavors to learn Esperanto! A fine language, Miss Corinn thinks, although she don't speak it herself!
Any other questions, send em my way!
~Miss Corinn
Actually, I'm a tad bit frustrated - I've got some music available online that she should have reviewed!
As a side note, her email address is actually misscorinnSPLAT yahoo.com. Other than that, there's nothing hidden in the source or headers that I found.
EDIT:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Frank's blog appears to have disappeared. Not sure what this means.

I got my reply too, which didn't seem to offer any hints.

Hello Miss Brogan! People usually are excited to find F!PR, and Miss Corinn is very excited to be helping you. She does not know about the mysterious blogger you speak of however... the fates have clouded her Eye on that particular subject.
As far as your boyfriend goes, you just need to hold on a little longer. If the stars are correct, he is planning on proposing soon, but he's just waiting for the right moment. All will work out in the end, and you two will have a very happy life together.
Miss Corinn thanks you for your eMail!

Frank's blog has been moved to http://misledbymisscorinn.blogspot.com , so it looks like he's reading our posts.

Just got this reply back from her... Asked her about Career and Love...
Hello there Adam and thank you for your email! I be glad to hear from ya! Miss Corinn gets lots of questions about love, and she has to say, it be very difficult to determine when the love will come. But in your case I sense that love is not too far off, but you need to be patient. Perhaps give her a call... you might find that things have changed!
Thank you and Miss Corinn again!
~Miss Corinn
Give who a call? Honestly, I don't even have any options right now! Guess I was expecting something more along the lines of what Relyt got.
hahaha

Oh, now that's just awesome. Thanks for the correction - I was thinking up paranoid conspiracy theories!

Nah, Miss Corinn only loves me.
EDIT:
I just got a new message, and it's got me rolling on the floor.

Miss Corinn would like to suggest switchin from Mac to Windows. You will'nt regret the change.
Thank you, and sorry for the abruptness of her message!
~Miss Corinn
Excuse me? I like my Mac! There's a couple places she could have pulled that info, but I think the most likely is from the headers of my outgoing message:
Code:
Mime-Version: 1.0 (Apple Message framework v752.2)
But seriously, I don't want to be excluded from this game just for being a Mac user. I'm going to email her back and ask.

Ok I have been lurking, but Relyt's last post has moved me to action (plus I felt dirty just sitting here watching everyone without you knowing).
[mac lover rant]Miss Corinn is a loon! To espouse an inferior platform shows that she clearly doesn't know a thing![/mac lover rant]
