No, Shamash is not nor has he been evil. Didn't you watch the video? He proved he wasn't evil by reciting the invocation of the angels.

He WILL be evil once he performs the Ritual. Yes I watched the vids and I'm waiting for post ritual results.

He knows that he will turn evil when he performs the Ritual. If he plans to kill himself after then that would mean FAREWELL. If he doesn't then he'll have that personality change that Sarah said Jochen would have when the Ritual was complete. He is not evil NOW but, the ritual has not been performed yet. He ricted the incantation to show us that the vid message is legit. It does not mean that he WILL NOT become evil later on. He says that all they will get is a broken vessel. It all depends on what he means by that. He says "Farewell". That means, no matter how look at it, that he will be gone in some form. Either in soul, or in flesh. May not be forever though
