- warning her after Betty was taken
When we saw Dante's email from MAJ hinting that he'd captured Betty, I sent an email to Wendy warning her about Betty's disappearance:

OMG... we just heard that Mr. Alan Johnson found Betty! Is there anything you can do to help her?? Of course, anything that won't endanger yourself, we don't want you hurt too!


She replied today:

Celina! Where is she!? We had a planned date and time and place to meet! She was supposed to meet me this morning at nine way up in the Bronx in front of Bronx Science! I was dropping off some groceries for her! Betty did not show up! I thought something might be wrong because she hadn't emailed me in two days but I was hoping she'd show this morning! How did this guy find her!? I don't even know where she was hiding! I don't know what to do! I'm scared the white van will come for me now! Maybe I should get out of here and stay with friends! What should I do?

So we know she had a meeting with Betty and apparently even Wendy doesn't know where she's hiding... so how did MAJ find her? I asked:

If I may ask, what was the purpose of your meeting today? It may help us figure out why Mr. Alan Johnson went after her or how he found out where she was... anything you can tell me may help Betty!

 		Received email from Wendy this morning:

I checked the calling number and it was 212-952-9113! I called back but I got a no service message! I want to go to the police but Betty told me it would do no good!

I tried calling the number too, got the same message... and I don't know what to tell her!

I guess that means MAJ got the book....

My reply:

That is GREAT NEWS! I'm sure she's not in the best condition but at least she's still alive! We were so worried we would not be able to secure her release... I guess the other Sammeeeees managed to give Mr. Alan Johnson what he wanted, and surprisingly he let her go!

I tried calling the number as well... no answer. My suggestion is to keep your phone close, and with any good luck she will be able to call back and let us know she's ok!

Thanks for letting us know she's at least alive!

 		Don't know if it'll help Wendy or not but the number comes from a payphone in the South Ferry Terminal, Staten Island Ferry.
The phone is to left of stairs at the top of staircase, on the NYC side.

 		Wendy was a busy girl while I was out at Magic Mountain today:

I tried to find the two dock guys but couldn't. Supposedly they came off some tugboat and are not Ferry Building employees. I'm going out to the Battery Maritime Building today (it had already closed yesterday by the time I got down there). I will write to you later. Thanks, Celina, its just good to have someone to talk to about this. This is just so bizarre to me. A small man dressed in white? And they want this book so badly they kidnap Betty? Strangers calling my phone and saying they would like to help my friend, Betty, who they have never met? And Betty has been running for the last month from these people? My head spins when I start thinking about what has been going on. I am leaving soon and should be back in the late afternoon. I 'll let you know if I find anything.

My service said the call came from 212-664-9068. I'm sure it is out of service as well. I'm going to go over to my place and sit by the phone and hope she calls again. Don't worry I bringing three friends with me to protect me. Please tell the Sammeeeees Betty's message and I will write again soon.


The number is from the basement of the Eugene O'Neill Theater. Not sure where this is or what it might mean, but emailed the info back to Wendy.

 		Two new emails - one last night and one this morning (stupid voting/work interfering with gameplay!).

From last night:

Today, I checked out Eugene Oneil theatre and met a couple actors who were taking a smoking break from their rehearsal for "Spring Awakening". I described Betty to them and told them she called from the phone in their theatre and they looked at me like I was on crack. I feel like I've been on crack. I am going to bed early tonight. If you hear anything please let me know.

So goody! A meeting with Betty tonight... or at least we HOPE it's Betty... My emailed advice to her:
