A Podcast about ARGs?

Lately I've been thinking of producing a podcast. A podcast about ARGs.

Personally I would love to be able to listen to a podcast that would give me ARGing news, game updates and summaries, and PM interviews. As no such podcast exists, I figured I'd settle for creating one.

Of course I'm posting about it here because I need help creating such a show. It can be hard enough to stay caught up on everything going on just for myself. So I'm looking for people for: writing segments, hosting the show, editing and post production, interivewers, and maybe music composition (intro/outro, transitions, etc). I'm thinking of starting with the podcast being bi-weekly, and then we can adjust from there based on how often we can get or create content for the show.

Let me know here if you're interested in helping, or even if you just like the idea and would listen. If you want to help, I just ask that you pull your weight and are willing to stick with it. I have some basic ideas for segments and the like, but I more than welcome further input.

I have always liked the idea of an ARG podcast. G3k and CE's attempts have both been very good, but I don't think anybody has nailed it just yet. I would love to help out in some way!

This is a great idea, myself and Reason were muttering about doing one about Perplex City when the story started getting confusing but then Mind Candy did one themselves so we didn't bother (lazy overweight waters).

However Guin was interviewing people at the recent Perplex City event in London and is going to do one himself. maybe he'll be interested in doing it. It might be worth PMing him.

that's a pretty good idea... if you need any web help at all, I'm available Wink
I'd definitely subscribe to the idea. lurking all the major args just takes so much time. Having a place to listen to the current news and events would make things easier. ideas: include audio and/or video clips (if it's a video podcast) from various args - help get people interested in them by getting a taste of them, without having to research them and such.

ARGNet are now on their 3rd podcast and darn good it is too - thats not to say there ought not to be another one - just don't go into this thinking you are on your own Very Happy

As someone who has produced a few podcasts - they are - or for me anyway Embarassed - a lot of work and time - it gets quicker for sure but the learning curve was a step one and a decent mic and recorder not that cheap - although I guess they maybe cheaper in the States than the good old UK.

Reading back through this I sound a bit of a kill joy - not what I mean to sound like - just trying to be practical - if I can help in anyway please let me know Very Happy
