Actually, that statement is not accurate. I just watched ET (sorry, I couldn't find a listing for "other places" ) and the exact quote from Mary Hart is "And sources tell ET that ABC will cancel Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's new series Push, Nevada after tomorrow night, making it the first casualty of the young season."
It has not officially been cancelled, but their sources expect it to happen soon.

It seems the show will run through Oct 24 to allow the game to finish. I posted an article on my website with some details. A complete article is available on Variety (subscription required).

hey wb
The past couple times that i've tried to get into your site, I get a "Sorry, this Module isn't active!" message. Is it me or is it you? I want to read your site! What's the deal with 10/24? Did they say how they're planning on doing it?

I do get the article now:
"wb writes "According to Variety, Push, Nevada, the beleaguered show airing against CSI and NBC's Must See TV will be formally cancelled this morning. The Oct. 24 episode will be the final episode."
Yesterday I was getting the "missing module" error, but today everything seems to be working on his site. (kudos to wb!)

Variety Article Could someone with a Variety subscription please post the original article? No offense, WB, but I'm a horse's mouth kind of girl, and ABC has said nothing official. When was this written? Where is the 10/24 date coming from? This would be ep.7, which ABC has not yet put on their schedule.
Keeping the faith until the fat lady sings...

From Variety.com:
Quote:
"Alphabet web (ABC) still has some holes to fill: Net is expected to
announce the first two cancellations of the season this morning,
as "That Was Then" and "Push, Nevada" are expected to formally get
the ax and ABC announces some other schedule changes."
"The mystery drama/reality skein "Push" will have its seventh and
final broadcast on Oct. 24. Producers will ensure enough clues will
have aired to allow viewers to compete for the $1 million prize being
offered in connection with the skein."
"With "Monk" and "Push" off the night, ABC's Thursday plans are still
sketchy, but the net will likely vamp with specials and reality
programming until "Dinotopia" premieres on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28,
with two back-to-back episodes. An ABC spokesman refused to confirm
any changes."

For what it's worth, the Push billboard disappeared today, at least the one I pass on the way to work. It's been replaced by an ad for a local polititian.

Sorry for goobering the link. When I upgraded my CMS, the news module changed to inactive and I missed it when I was testing. It's all better now (I hope). Future reports of goobering can be PM'd for prompt resolution.

It's Official from ABC media http://www.abcmedianet.com/DNR/2002/doc/dnr101002.doc
"Push, Nevada" to Air Until October 24
In a move designed to strengthen the ABC Television Network's overall performance, Susan Lyne, president, ABC Entertainment, today announced several changes to the Network's lineup.
"Push, Nevada" will air until Thursday, October 24, culminating the critically-acclaimed series' run with the seventh episode. Viewers who have been playing along with the game that is woven into the weekly episodes will still have the chance to win the grand prize, in excess of one million dollars. Details will be announced shortly and revised rules will be posted on abc.com.
'Both "That Was Then" and "Push, Nevada" are creatively very strong, but we were simply unable to attract a mass audience for them,' added Ms. Lyne. 'We want viewers of "Push" to see the outcome of Prufrock's investigation, and airing it through the seventh episode will give closure to the storyline.'

This is why we had to wait for confirmation? Their spinmeister was late coming to work today? Closure? Puhleeze.
