Wiki

The wiki is coming along great! Any other help would be appreciated. Question- Do you think I should bother making each of Alfred's blog posts a separate page? Or would that just clog things up too much? Besides, it's going to take some time...

This game has a lot of potential to be great, but it's just gotta get off the ground. I for one am getting a little bored of "stick around" and "there's a point to all this" and "play our game, you won't regret it."

I would suggest to mention only the parts that will show some relevance to the story and/or hints... gotta admit that it wasn't quite the case so far (maybe except for Thermal Regulator link).

Also, there's still that unsolved anagram "riddle" with additional comment in src, maybe this is worth mentioning?

I think doing blog 'archives' by month would be handy: there's no telling if some site might disappear or go through some major alteration during the gameplay, and so it might be useful to have the full text at-hand, for reference.

Also, it's been said that patience is a virtue. Heh.

Just so you know, the "111" on the error page can be seen if you double click just under where it says "Error!!!"

In the Nov. 4th blog entry on alfredalan.com, Alfred links to the wikipedia article for The Birth of Venus. I checked out the history, and on Nov. 4th someone edited the article. Under the Classical Inspiration section, the following appeared:

dfuhgkjhfdgjkh

Anyone wanna take a crack at that? I'm leaving work in a few minutes, so I'll see how far I can get, but I wanted to post anyway.

I know it is kinda meta, but that ip is from Cablevision which for the most part is a northeastern cable company in the New York Area.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cablevision

Chances are that is out of game.

Well, I had a long, awesome convo with Alfred yesterday. I copied it and just as I was about to post it here, I lost power for twelve hours. It's gone. I don't know how to get it back. He told me a lot of stuff, though, so I'm hoping I don't forget anything...

1) He'd just spoken with the guy from Thermal Regulator, and we're supposed to get specs in a day or two. He's really hoping he's not late otherwise his boss is going to be angry.

2) "There is a purpose, and a goal" refers to a "New __can't remember__, new life" and means the trip to EDN.

3) He's not planning to go to EDN cause he says he's not brave enough, and he has no one to look after the cat. (I offered, but he ignored that.)

4) He says the reason they are going to EDN and beyond is because the Earth is getting pretty crowded and this might be the dawn of a new era in mankind.

5) I asked him how to apply and he said because so many people have asked, he was going to look into it for us. He also said to send a resume into the corporate office. I asked him for the address, and that's when I lost power...

That was officially my first character interaction, now that I think about it... wow. I've been playing ARGs for 8 months, and never interacted with a character before?! Razz

Great job! Sorry to hear about the outage, but - what client did you use for the chat? Chances are, that the conversation has been logged in the progress!

So, wait, he was giving us clues? Isn't that breaching the 4th wall or whatever? No, wait, that's something else. But... the PM giving hints out of game = bad, right?

If that should be e-mail address, something's gotta change. For the time being, domain neovenusconstruction.com doesn't have any MX records, ie. there's no server that accepts e-mail for addresses like <something>@neovenusconstruction.com...
