If only I had invented a teleporter instead of the 4-wheel drive coffee-making toaster oven...

Anyways, if we did miss something big, they will just find another way of giving it to us. We still have not found a use for the 21:00 information yet.

If we missed it then it's moot, but I have been thinking about that a lot lately.

There were a lot of candybars at the party, especially when it started. One by one they got picked off by people... It's possible that other bars had other messages than the four I saw (three in my pictures, and one empty wrapper with the same msg/url). There was one other guy in particular hunting them down, but I don't know if that's because he was intrigued by the clues or he just loves free chocolate.

I payed a lot of attention to the decorations and the details of the party.. not for clues, just for good photo-ops.. and didn't see anything argy besides the chocolate.

I didn't check the VIP lounge at all because.. well.. I wasn't a VIP. :( Maybe there were clues meant for the likes of Wired Magazine staffers and Greg Dean of Real Life.

My biggest fear is that there was a live actor planted in the party, maybe Alfred Alan himself, and no one noticed... maybe they made their appearence at the party at exactly 21:00 hours and we were supposed to be 'watching for them'. I'd hate that simply because it'd mean a lot of dissapointment and wasted preparation on the part of the PMs, especially that poor actor who wasted a night playing a role no one saw.

That said, argodaemon's right. If the PMs are worth their salt, they'll find a way to get us back on track. They'll leave some more breadcrumbs and we'll follow them to what alfred, or whoever, left for us to find. The game won't end because we only found one clue at the party.

..hope that happens soon, though.

(I'm just having some serious "a_pawn" flashbacks here, is all) :P

Hahaha, oh dear. a_pawn.

I am not sure it's quite as bad as that, but yeah, I think the flavor of frustration is the same.

I'm sorta jonesing for just more background and stuff to read and think about, but that may be because that's what I am used to. I wonder if the PMs have a planned ending for this.

Bah. I'll drive myself crazy. Maybe I will go stare at that blog title of Alan's some more, and hope the solution comes to me through osmosis, telepathy, or carrier pigeon.

Now that would be an interesting piece to leave for Phil. Have it set up for check mate and leave it on his desk. Whether or not Alfred's dedication to this runs $200 deep (or if he is even alive) is another question.

I am so excited!! Ok I don't want to spoil it:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"14 An Interesting Commentary" refers to the comments on the page posted Science Link O' the Day... a post by Alfred A which refers to the following site:

nice it has to be intentional because its there favorite phrase
alfreds comment on the site http://www.earthsky.org/blog/50922/how-much-warming-is-safe

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Now you listen to me, and you listen good. I don't give a damn which way you go, just don't follow me. You got that?"

also some guy named steve responded to him but i dont think its related to the game.

I dont think the link alfred mentioned is IG, i think he only mentioned it to keep on the topic of the message. Heres the whois info for the co2science.org site http://www.whois.net/whois_new.cgi?d=co2science&tld=org

we might want to go and check a few of the science links for commentary, unless of course its already been done by some poor desprate soul Smile

Song lyrics from Alfred's link
Queensryche, "Revolution Calling"

Quote:
For a price I'd do about anything
Except pull the trigger
For that I'd need a pretty good cause
Then I heard of Dr. X
The man with the cure
Just watch the television
Yeah, you'll see there's something going on

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I'm tired of all this bullshit
They keep selling me on T.V.
About the communist plan
And all the shady preachers
Begging for my cash
Swiss bank accounts while giving their
Secretaries the slam

They're all in Penthouse now
Or Playboy magazine, million dollar stories to tell
I guess Warhol wasn't wrong
Fame fifteen minutes long
Everyone's using everybody, making the sale

I used to think
That only America's way, way was right
But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives
Gotta make a million doesn't matter who dies

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
[There's a] Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

It's true: Alfred Alan is an Angry Young Man!

I don't have a 360, but has anyone played Lost Planet, and is there any sort of parallel between the game's story and Alfred's?

I beat the game a few weeks back. There are a few very small things, but nonetheless, not much. One big thing... but it is a big giveaway for the game...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
In the game, when the Frontier Project it put in motion, every living thing on the planet would be killed, using their Thermal Energy to help in the warming.

I will try to think of some more later.

EDIT1: Also saw that Alfred's YIM was removed from the error site. Does that mean no more Alfred over YIM? Sad Crying or Very sad We shall miss thee...

EDIT2:Oh, and that line from the climate comment is from the movie "The Fugative". I guess that is what Alfred is now. Bet he ran away.

EDIT3:Got some more. All the previous hidden source messages on page 1 are now gone. Vanished. Poof. Alfred must know magic. Tricky one, he is...

Interesting... now he is leaving messages in not only the source code, but also the Titles... which brings us back to the last title, and its hidden meaning...
