working through those anagrams now.

the only other thing i noticed, probably nothing, but alfred alan mentions a "wazootydude_111" - google yields nothing on the name but there's that '111' yet again.

Just for the sake of the record - A. Alan seems to like Indiana Jones:

Quote:
As one of my favorite movie heroes of all time once said, "Ahhh…Venice!"

...that's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, I daresay. Might be of use later...

By the way - has anybody found the way how to apply for a job at NeoVenus, as A.A. suggests in his blog from 11/04?

Also, LOL @ his Barbecue Lightning Record... This was really good... Very Happy

My guess is that they aren't... I gave them a short look, and it seems to be way much information there for them to be directly connected (2MB study report in PDF etc.)...

I've been searching for a way to do so, but no luck thus far. I'm guessing we might have to find a username and password to access that part of the site, or it might just not be avaliable yet.

That video was nice. I'm especially fond of the on going hide the candy bar game.

Wow... I step away for a day, and all of a sudden there are all these links! I have a lot to go through right now... Sad

ETA: I searched Google for Baumann Corporation, one of the sponsors of the Arctic Terraforming thing, and this came up:

Lindsey VallackBAUMANN CORPORATION, THE. ALLEN A. BAUMANN. 6612671425. PALMDALE. BAUTCH REAL ESTATE APPRAISALS. LESLIE A. BAUTCH. 6612749406. PALMDALE. BEST BUY CO ...
www.lindseyvallack.com/business_am.html

Caught my eye cause of Allen A.

When you click on the link, it comes up File Not Found, so if you go to the homepage (linseyvallack.com) all it says is "coffee." Nothing in the source. In-game?

ETA (again): I was going through Alan's old blog posts and I found this:

Quote:
"hootenanny1023" in Texas can be united with "wazootydude_111" of Bangladesh

notice the 111 again. Added them to buddy list, waiting for them to come online...

I have not had any luck with usernames or passwords, using all normal corprate varations of the name Alfred Alan. for passwords have been trying common male cat names and candy bar names. no luck.

I think once we find the cats name that will be a likely password:)

just as a small note

we got "Old Fireball" (our trusty barbeque - thanks AB) heated pretty quick. Sadly, all that remained of "Old Fireball"

AB=Alton Brown the host of the cooking show good eats, old fireball is what he calls his grill:) I am sure it has nothing to do with the game however:)

I would say it's not IG - most of pages from that site can be retrieved from Google cache and there's nothing too suspicious in there.

Also whois search suggests there's no connection... I am not very fond of whois searches as they can be considered OOG, but I still prefer whois to red herrings. Smile

Going through the alfredalan site, I stumbled over this site which appears to be in-game. Haven't studied it very closely yet, though.

My guess is that the device shown on that page (not the suit) is supposed to be the device shown on Wayne's arm in the first webisode.

Something else to look into is the listing of sponsors on http://www.antarcticresearch.net/sponsors.html

Quote:
NeoVenusConstruction - As the primary sponsor of Cloacina Station, much of the technology being used is designed and maintained through them. NeoVenusConstruction's longterm goal has always been colonization of other worlds and Cloacina Station has proven to be invaluable to that goal.

Eisenberg Research Grant - The Eisenberg family have long been supporters of the Environmental Science Community, with grants ranging from Clean Air to Alternative Fuels to Environmental Recovery after major disasters. Their support of Claocina Station has been unwaivering.

Tourbit - Started initially as a Commercial Space Tour company, Tourbit has grown into a Major Partner for NeoVenus Construction. They have not only supplied the delivery platform for Terraforming New Worlds, but have also granted generous donations to projects like Cloacina Station.

Musseau Management Group - A leader in High Tech Investment, Musseau Management Group was one of the first partners to invest in the Antarctic Paraterraforming Research Project.

Baumann Corporation - A supplier for industrial construction, Baumann Corporation donated time and equipment in the building of Cloacina Station.

Converse National Laboratories - As proponents of outworld technologies, Converse National Laboratories has worked closely with NeoVenus Construction in developing and building many of the components integral to Environmental Generators.

Watson Environmental Design - Genetic crop design is one of the cornerstones to a successful mission, and Watson Environmental Design has helped develop many of the genetically enhanced crops that currently inhabit Cloacina Station.

James Technologies - Software Systems experts, James Technologies built and maintains most of the software systems that run a majority of the Station.

Symon and Bellfield - We had to mention them, management told us to.

Ok, now this is just damn funny. Where it mentions:

Chalres Bellfield and Jack Symon are part of Capcom's marketing team. Laughing

Yes there is a reason... and a goal.

Never has an error rewarded me so well...

YAHOO IM alfredalannevec

I was searching www.alfredalan.com and made a mistake while searching for more images. When the error page loaded I figured it wouldn't hurt to search the source and I bet you can't guess what I found.

I've sent a friend request, just waiting for his acceptance.

EXCELLENT! (even though it was an accident)

Now, if only I had YIM...

From the ARGNetcast show notes (haven't had a chance to listen yet) it sounds like they have some inside info about this game... which means it could be good...
