It *feels* very IG to me.

But Chansen Publishing and Living Magazine are established entities, according to this: http://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/stories/1999/08/09/newscolumn5.html

and also this: Scroll down to see the blurb on the real Living Magazine's ribbon cutting ceremony.

Creepy as the website is, there don't seem to be any other ties to TH. Or maybe I'm wrong - maybe VQ is in league with LM...

I thought about that, too! I live in Texas, so yay if TH is supposedly in my state. It's probably in Southwest Houston - there's nothing in the world creepier than the suburbs of Southwest Houston. They're all shiny new houses and straight lines with shiny, empty playgrounds and... I get shivers every time I have to drive out there. TH would fit right in. :/

edit: I don't *actually* think it's in sw houston - TH just reminds me of a lot of places around here. Wink

The WhoIs information lists all of the sites as being in Illinois. I think TH is supposed to be suburb of Chicago.

Just got my call. They guy said people are missing. The rest was pretty much the same; things aren't safe, he used to work there, got my name off a list from the mayors office, etc. He had to go pretty quick too but I didn't hear any gunshots. I don't have caller ID so I didn't get a phone number. I'm stoked now.

I gotta wonder how he has access to the mayor's list if he doesn't work there any more.

Yup yup.

I just got my call as well. It definitely sounded like it was the same guy from the other day. He was talking about people turning up missing .. but never gave his name this time out.

I'm guessing these calls should be wrapping up soon and the big 'ol ball'll get rollin.

I wish that ball would roll already! But I thought nothing was going to happen until the 14th unless all of the player spots got filled up.

Did anyone other than me sign up and NOT get a call or message?

i signed up awhile ago. the first day that people got calls, i got one on my cellphone that came up as 'unknown', and i'm assuming that was it. but i was at work and in the middle of helping a customer and couldn't answer it. whoever it was didn't leave a voicemail and didn't call back, so i still haven't received my call.

Got my phone call yesterday. Appeared to come from a local number but we know that is not true.

From my scribbled notes:

New mayor, then the new company came to town. People went missing, they just vanished. When they came back, they were different. Be careful.

Sounds "Stepford" as we spec'd in chat. He seemed to imply that there may still be some one (or some people) in town who have not been changed.

We have to be careful with whom we contact in town (and what we say to them).

Wow, I was thinking "Stepford" too.

I knew that and did not make the connection. *headdesk*

Thanks for taking a closer listen to the lyrics. My hearing is quite bad. So we've got towns around Roswell, a tentative Illinois connection (Konamouse pointed out that the websites are all registered supposedly in Illinois), Area 51, missing/changed people.

What about Horizon? Those lyrics sound so clue-ish. Well, they all sort of do ("I know you're watching, I know you're listening...").

Edit: Going over other names in the band, I find that Quincy Lambert is two airports, one of them in Illinois.
Quincy Regional is in Quincy, Illinois, and Lambert/St. Louis Int'l is in St. Louis, MO. These places are not far from each other.
