The new character of Eleanor Dare hits close to home.l I am a bit obsessed with the group of people from Appalachia known as The Melungeons. They are believed to have originated from members of the Lost Colony of Roanoke.

It seems as if the details from Caine's background could be decipherable from the Agrippa info.
For example using this chart, we surmise this is the symbol of a good spirit and it has something to do with a star of the second magnitude?







I stink at this sort of thing. Anybody with better eyes and the gift of astrology/alchemy want to give it a go?

Here's a bit more information on some of the symbols on Caine's page.


This image;



is called the Hand of Fate or alternately the Hand of Fortune. It is used to draw planetary influences to guide the individual through life. Incorporating the Planetary Signs by the lines of fate on the hand, this amulet is worn to open up windows of Opportunity and to promote Happiness and Good Fortune.

Ok, next we'll take a look at this symbol in the upper right hand part of Caine's background image;



This is a version of the symbol that appears on the front cover of the book the Necronomicon, as seen here;

This symbol is a design originated by H.P. Lovecraft, the inventor of the Cthulu Mythos, the Gate is both a ward against and a doorway to the Elder Gods. The sign is, in a way, a graphical representation of Yog Sothoth (the Key and the Gate). For those foolhardy enough to try Necronomantic magick, this is a talisman powerful enough to protect you from becoming a TV snack for the inhuman gods of the mythos.

The next symbol is the one from the upper left hand side of Caine's background;



This is called the Travel Talisman or the Talisman of Safe Journeys;



Dating from Napoleonic times, this talisman worn next to the heart traditionally grants the wearer Safety on Journeys.

And finally there is this image;



This appears to be a composite image. The woman has been placed on top of another symbol. The symbol under the woman is known as the Sigil of Baphomet or the Baphomet Pentagram;



This symbol is also featured on the front of the Satanic Bible;

So, it appears that these symbols, as well as the seals of Solomon are all related to protection, safety and good fortune.

I just (also) receieved a message from Arius. He told me there is some information that I (we) need to know. He said:

It involves getting information from a woman named Elanor Dare. She is not one of us, and I fear she just wishes only to lead you in the wrong direction. Keep moving foward, as you all were on the right track.

Also, he told me that Nancy's father is very ill, and she is staying by his side. He said the Sons of Loki have become powerful over the past decades. The closer they get to the pages, the more destruction they may cause. Prevent further chaos by obtaining the pages.

I asked if there was anything we could do to prevent others from being sickened, and he gave me a message to give to Nancy.

He said "Send this to message to Nancy, it may help block the dark magic that the SoL are using... Hakkatta Gomeiaa"

So I did. Now we wait to hear from her....
