Cheesy vs. Awesome

As I continue work on my ARG, I have written down an elaborate history of all of the major characters (currently seven). They are divided into two groups. Neither knows of the other's existance until late in the game, and even once it is over, they still don't know the whole story about each other.

In one of the groups, there are four main characters. Once the game is over, two are dead, and one is in intensive care at the hospital. I am planning to have the remaining character begin telling the backstory of the group at the end of the game through a series of blog entries, but because she is "so overcome with emotion about the deaths", she can't ever write more than three or four paragraphs at a time.

Will this be seen as too cheesy (a blatant way to reveal plot elements of the story), or as a cool way to learn more about the characters, even though they are dead?

Depends on how consistent your story is.

For the ultimate fun was a game which launched two COMPLETELY separate games around similar times. Both games were independent in scope and nobody knew of each other's existence until the fateful day when both games suddenly merged. It was a major WTF? moment for the players.

Storyline is the key as always. Having the characters not know of each other, real life thing there. 6 degrees.
