[LGFL] Game Shift. If We Fail... Ghosts Destroy the Earth.
Aunt Anna gives us another way to generate critical Loyalty points.

Main Lawn Games page has changed.

There's a new site set up for us to generate Loyalty points which equate to Spirit points which will save the world.

Here's the synopsis of the updated page from the Lawngames site:
RECAP:
* Ghosts will haunt the earth to death when the angels leave for Christmas vacation
* Ghosts haunt because they're bored
* Boredom is checked with spirit (aka "loyalty")
* Collectively earn 1000 loyalty points!!!
* We need to throw the ghosts a lively party at their point of entry
* The location of the party will only be revealed is y'all are prepared (i.e., know where/when/what to bring and are spirited enough)
* At the party, y'all will get some earthly prizes (the heirloom + a supplemental will)
* Playtest new lawn games in lieu of completing location trials (spend smarts or tough points)
* Earn bonus points at locations (earn loyalty points)

ETA: There are links back to the previous versions of the Lawngames main page, but only the last version comes up. Not the original.
And there is a new "Family details" page that has stats for the families and our general Loyalty points goal.

I know we all (mostly) were hoping for a change of some sorts, but this is really a HUGE difference. Even the garcias family (current 1st place) does not have enough points to do 2 of the "new" games, only one.

Since we have to exchange tough or smarts points just to attempt one, we probabaly won't be able to do an "alternate challenge" after we have used up the points we now have.

And - has anyone else noticed, the latest puzzle is very ambiguous even with the hints.

speaking for myself, I love the history, that is a lot of fun to research, but the frustration at incorrect puzzles, and puzzles that are so ambigous as to seem impossible to solve (memories of the unsolvable 5 room puzzle - different game) are taking the fun out of this. And the most frustrating part is I will be in the area on the 22/23rd of December.

even the tease of a will for offshore assets is not enough to keep me enthusiastic about this game. It started out great, but it has turned into basically a scavenger hunt and there is only 1 character we interact with (and a ghost that posts in the forum). This is NOT an ARG.

I can't do any puzzles with my current family score, so.... Yeah.
Even with the break I get for being the 2nd place family and getting max points on 3 legends challenges, I can't afford one.

Should we start asking Aunt Anna about this stuff, directly (Kinda creepy) or continue to use Taylor for the "game" questions?

Signed: Confused Frat Boy.

EDIT: 12/6...
Changes are happening on the new site, but there still aren't any new games to choose from. I'm pretty sure I can afford to do one or more, now, but the scores aren't current.
