Iris and her strange dreams

Dear Pam,

Believe me, when we go out to the Pine Barrens on Sunday, one of the
things I will be doing is nailing Wes to the nearest tree and making him dish. It may have been years since we last talked, but he owes me a few favors and I am thinking I will take them in the form of information... the information about what exactly is going on here. I feel as if I havearrived in the middle of something big and I am the only one who does not know what is happening. I do not like that feeling, as that is how one makes huge mistakes that can get people hurt.

I have to tell you what happened last night. I kept waking up with these
strange dreams, which is odd as I never remember my dreams. The first
was about the graffiti. In the dream, the graffiti hung in the air before
me. It was shining in the light as if made of metal. Then it seemed I was
pushed or pulled away from it, so I quickly lost sight of the ring. The other dream was about a strange man wearing a hooded cloak. He was standing facing me, his arm raised. I could not see him very clearly, but there was something about his hand or arm that was unusual. Behind him, the sky was filled with dark, boiling clouds that shone behind a strange castle or large building.

I wish I could remember more about these dreams. I just know that
there was more to them. Oh well, my stomach is telling me it is time to go down to breakfast.

Iris

Iris and her dreams and MORE

Dear Sunny,

I am trying to process all of the information that you have given me. That diary of Mr. Sprague's is certainly an interesting read. I guess I have to believe that there is a creature named 'the Wish' around here, messing up people's lives. I am not sure what to make of the idea that time and space can be warped to suit this being's needs. Makes me wonder if it will get mad if I get too close to it and just thrust me through a portal to be done with me. While I admit that seeing another dimension would be fascinating, I do not doubt that the trip would most likely cost me my sanity.

I am going to set Chris and James the task of looking over that transcript you forwarded to me. You are right, the sound clips are indeed interesting and maybe they can bring out the background noises a bit more. When they will get to this, I cannot promise, but get to it they will!

I do not know what to make of the other site you forwarded to me. It almost seems to be a silly band-based site, but I will keep it in mind in case it turns out to be relevant. I have begun to dream about all of this, which is odd as I never remember my dreams normally. There is one about the graffiti, where it shines before me like a metal ring, but as I get close I am pushed or pulled away and it disappears. The other is about someone who wears a cloak with the hood pulled up to cover his face. His arm is raised as if gesturing to me, but I cannot make out much detail. I have the feeling that there may have been something wrong with his hand, which I suppose would match with the reports some people have sent to me of what you call the guides. Behind the figure was a castle that was like a dark blot against the boiling storm clouds. Even now I have to chuckle, as this image reminds me of that Stephen King novel about the Dark Tower.

Sunny, I have to tell you that I had a chance yesterday to really think about the situation that Phyllis is in. While I have never been married, (heck, I am not even dating anyone), I just know it has to be hell to live with a man like that. The few times I have seen the two of them together, Douglas has been rude and abrupt with not just myself, but with Phyllis too! I really think she is lonely, and that may be why she follows us around. At least she does not have to put up with him in her bed, as I think he lives in the spare bedroom now.

Well, Chris and James have arrived to go down to breakfast. Take care Sunny, I shall talk to you again tonight after we have enjoyed a BBQ and interviewed some more town folk.

Iris
