Wax tablets were in common use then as re-usable writing surface, sometimes used for shorthand. Another ancient example is that of Histiaeus, who shaved the head of his most trusted slave and tattooed a message on it. After his hair had grown the message was hidden.

Good job to those who worked on this puzzle! I wasn't able to contribute that much because it was hard for me to follow... Oh well.

 		Cursing I tried those passwords on the pics and got nowhere... having tried various options, it seems when I save the files to my PC it screws the stegging and you can no longer desteg. go figure.

I can do it striaght from the email, oh well live and learn. If I'd known that we'd have cracked this as soon as we knew about the stegging.. Embarassed Rolling Eyes

That's funny. I'm not officially signed up in this arg, so I just used the images that blackhawk127 uploaded. (I don't like giving away that much info about myself online, hence my username, an acronym for none of your business.)

Man. this guy doesn't give up! What doesn't this guy want us helping the skulls? If he doesn't tell us why, then why are we to take this guy seriously?

They also wouldn't respond when I talked to them. So I am not sure what the are doing. But, I will let you know as soon as I find them again.

 		i would have left him an occasional comment, but didn't want to sign up to yet another site. We should probably be nice to him sometimes though, if only to keep him on board...

Actually, I am not waiting around for this guy to come to my house. I am going back to my moms place to stay for a while. I don't know how I am going to pull this one off. With school and all.
