I was wondering about that book as well. The page numbers struck me.

Edit: Asked on the Umedia forum if anyone was reading anything good and Ulli responded with Robert Harris's Imperium. Not sure if that means anything or not. I felt like a jerk, after the Emerson's demise.

oh lovely, updates to user profiles that i've already read -- this could get tedious.

But i'm dedicated to maintaining my cast of characters, and will edit my earlier post accordingly.

I wrote an email to James prodding about locations, since Edinburgh is so close to me.. I wonder where the Village is. It doesn't give anything new, but I'll post it here anyway...

Quote:

Dear Jehane,

You sound highly qualified for a position with us, although I'm not sure the
Engineers is the place for you. You might find yourself better suited to a
role in R&D or composition. Most of our departments are based in our
Edinburgh office, although our R&D facility is in a separate location for
security purposes.

If you're free for a phone conversation within the next few days, we can
talk and I can hopefully clear some things up for you.

Thanks,

J

I am pondering about whether to give him my phone number - eep! Smile

I'm guessing it was found because nichtobin has 'www.blogger.com' in her user profile on the forums - just a few steps from there Smile

Go for it! Try to record any call, so we can listen in.

I wonder when Jan Mayer will have a new post on her blog. She seems to be close to where the magic/tragic happens.

I say go for it! Almost every credible application for employment we've sent in has gotten a response for a telephone interview, which seems they way they want to go. Smile

I'm just checking into this arg, but I have to ask, has anyone else ready the Broken equipment / service requests thread in the employee forum. Hilarious, but SO true!
